You can use this site to track all the Democratic Delegates awarded by State. We should know in 4-6 weeks if there will be a Brokered Convention.

RealClearPolitics (RCP) is an enthusiastically right-leaning site. I read both right- and left-leaning media for a range of opinions, but typically not for this sort of thing.

If you enter "Democratic delegate count" in Google, it'll give you exact numbers and a drop-down menu for state-by-state numbers.

For other statistical analysis, I like FiveThirtyEight.com as a starting point.

If Bloomberg can buy enough delegates on Super Tuesday, there will be tremendous pressure on Biden, Mayor Pete, and Amy to drop out to clear the way for a Sanders and Bloomberg convention. Then, on the second ballot, super delegates give the nomination to Bloomberg and all hell breaks loose in Milwaukee.

Sounds like Bernie has got it!

I don't think Bloomberg is even a factor, except for dividing up Republican votes with Trump in November.

Also good, and there is an open crotch and even a back door oriented version of this on the market.

CMI, a delegate count is neither right nor left. It is math. 538 fucked up predictions of both the 2016 Republican primary and the general election in amazing fashion. RCP does a much better job on the polling front because it tracks poll trends from those of all stripes, from conservative to liberal.

Bloomberg will be a footnote by April and only a total loser would think New York Bloomberg will get any republican votes from Trump supporters.

I don’t think there’s been a brokered convention for decades. I wouldn’t mind seeing one. Doesn’t matter because i might sit this election out until I mail in my ballot.

-->"only a total loser would think New York Bloomberg will get any republican votes from Trump supporters."

True that Bloomberg won't get votes from Trump supporters. But in a general election, he will get votes from registered Republicans that aren't Trump supporters, especially ones that wouldn't consider voting for Sanders or Warren but would consider voting for a moderate Democrat.

Just read an article about Bernie’s health. A key predictor of future health for someone with heart history is the left ventricular ejection rate.......a measure of how well the heart is pumping. Bernie has not made this result public.
  • san_jose_guy

Bernie Sanders is speaking Left ideas which no one getting close to the US Presidency has ever talked about before.

    His health:

Brokered Convention, maybe the Republicans, as they fight over who will take the place of Trump.

Should Democrats Unite Under Bernie Sanders?
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3WiKIv_…

Democrats have always fought it out in the primary. 1960, Kennedy victory, not 1964, 1976 Carter victory, 1992 Clinton victory, not 1996, intense contest 2008, Obama victory.

    And then the underlying theory:
    https://tuscl.net/discussion.php?id=7101…

How To Pay For The War, by John Maynard Keynes, 1940
    https://archive.org/details/in.ernet.dli…

The three main tenants as I see it:

    1. Medicare for All ( single payer health care, with cost controls )
    2. Free College ( including nationalization of student loan debts )
    3. Green New Deal ( really just a concept, not yet a specific plan, but likely to center around rail public transport, solar energy, and most importantly a strong public housing offering, high rise villages on the rail transit lines. )

He does not talk about UBI, and AOC kind of disavowed the idea in her animated video, but as she said, "In the beginning ... ."

And I have also concerned that it is better to do the other 3 things first, and that UBI needs those to work out as intended.

In the 1970's, St. Paul Minnesota, Control Data Corporation had its own onsite child care.

In the 70's the US Congress also passed a free child care legislation package. But then Nixon vetoed it saying, "It would Sovietize The American Family".

This tells you everything you need to know about Elizabeth Warren:

“According to recent reporting Elizabeth Warren is in negotiations with Bernie Sanders and with Joe Biden about her future in the race, her scripted departure, and which campaign can provide the best incentives for her endorsement.”
  • twentyfive
^ So if she's in negotiations with both the Biden and Sanders campaign, explain your conspiracy theory again, you know the one where the powers that be are conspiring to snatch the nomination from Bernie, SMH
  • mark94
She did her job on Super Tuesday. She deprived Sanders of victories in 3 states, allowing Biden to win the day. Now, after finishing third in Massachusetts, she no longer has any leverage. If she believed in her cause, she’d endorse Bernie. Let’s see what kind of deal she strikes and with whom.
  • twentyfive
^ Ok I'll bite, how did she deprive Sanders of victories in three states ? Keep in mind Bloomberg actually got more votes than her in many states, and lost her home state, your narrative is goofy and it's time to retire that one and come up with a newer and better spin.
  • mark94
Biden won Maine, Minnesota, and Texas. The votes cast for Warren in those states would have been enough to give Sanders the win. Those electoral delegates would have given Sanders the lead instead of Biden.
  • twentyfive
^ So you're saying she has no right to run her own campaign, only Bernie the Independent, who only became a Democrat for the purpose of running for President, has that right, and keep in mind, he's running against the party elders, and bashing the old line Democrats along the way GTFOH
Like I said that is a goofy narrative, come up with something a bit more authentic.
  • mark94
No, that’s not what I’m saying. I’m saying she has zero chance of winning and she knows it. The only possible reason for her to stay in the race is to undercut Bernie. She would only do that if there was some hidden payoff. You’ve heard of quid pro quo, right ?

During the first debate, Trump should ask Biden to remember 5 words until the end of the debate. That’s the simple test that doctors use to test older patients for mental acuity. Dollars to donuts, he would fail.
  • mark94
@Mark she's hiding a Swiss bank account with millions from the poorest guys

That’s not how it works. The typical “ask” in these situations is to ask for help in paying off your campaign debt. Or, get assurances of a key cabinet job or even VP. Or, assurances of help in passing key legislation.
  • rickdugan

===> "^ So you're saying she has no right to run her own campaign, only Bernie the Independent, who only became a Democrat for the purpose of running for President, has that right, and keep in mind, he's running against the party elders, and bashing the old line Democrats along the way GTFOH"

25, calling the shambles of her candidacy a "campaign" is a joke now. She has no viable path to the nomination. She can't conceivably reach 1,996 delegates now. And even if the nomination becomes brokered, the notion that they'd give it to a candidate who got trounced by two others, even in her own state, is laughable.

So simply put, she's finished. If she truly supports a more progressive agenda, then she will get behind the only person who has a chance to enact it. If she continues to bleed votes from Sanders for her own pointless glory and maybe a few future political payoffs (you have to imagine that establishment types are urging her to stay in), then she is full of shit and as despicable as many already believe her to be.

Biden announced that Beto “ Soy Latino” O’Rourke would be in charge of gun control during the same press conference where Beto pledged to support Biden. That’s Quid Pro Quo.

In 2016, for all the talk about a rigged primary, Bernie refused to go for the jugular on Hillary ( we’ve heard enough about the damned emails). He accepted her nomination and supported her. Now, he has announced that if Biden has a plurality of delegates, he will support his nomination rather than using convention rules to gain a majority. It’s like he never really wanted to win.

She was the favorite among white college-educated voters. I think it's a mistake to assume her supporters will flock to Bernie.

She was doing really well until she made the mistake of supporting single-payer healthcare.
  • rickdugan

I wouldn't count Bernie out so fast. Eventually Biden is going to have to debate him head to head and Biden doesn't perform well off the cuff and under pressure. I can't even imagine what a Trump-Biden debate would look like. Right now Biden is being propped up by the party, but at some point he is going to have to stand on his own two feet.
  • rickdugan

Random, polls show that Bernie is the overwhelming second choice for a majority of her supports, especially now that it's a two horse race. This would be especially true if she lined up behind him with an endorsement.

No one knows if he is or isn't. Give the Dems credit though, nasty Joe Biden lies as much as Trump. Cannot wait to see him explain why he's been lying all these years abouit his wife and child getting killed by a drunk driver, when in fact the truck driver was sober and his wife veered into his lane.
