man killed in a shooting at a Phoenix strip club early Saturday morning was identified as 23-year-old Kirk Anthony Kariker, police said.
The shooting happened at Jaguars strip club near Interstate 17 and McDowell Road just before 3 a.m., Phoenix police spokesman Detective Luis Samudio said.
Kariker was involved in a fight inside the club and was escorted out, Samudio said.
While in the parking lot, Kariker retrieved a gun from his vehicle and pointed it at several people in the parking lot, police said. A 22-year-old man also retrieved a gun and fired multiple rounds, striking Kariker, police said.
He was transported to the hospital and pronounced dead. The shooter was detained and cooperated with investigators, Samudio said.
There were no criminal charges filed as of 10:30 a.m., Samudio said.
An investigation is ongoing.

Self defense. Saved lives of others. Good job!!!
Thus is my home town. Phoenix west did clubs are crazy. Went to Jaguars ONE TIME. Never again after that...
Didn’t save the life of the idiot. Dufass does a stupid thing, permanent solution to what may we’ll have been a temporary problem.
Stupid is permanent problem. The world is better off without that idiot.
It was a Jaguars, a (surprise, surprise) urban club. It's the second shooting death there in the last couple of months.
Don’t bother with west side clubs, especially at night!
Yet, Phoenix police are focusing their enforcement efforts on keeping Hi Liter fun free rather than Jaguars gun free.
Guess shooting guns in the parking lot is not as bad as shooting loads in VIP. Gotta keep those girls from choking!!!
I almost stayed in Phoenix and went there. Shit. Glad I kept trucking to LA
Dont pull it unless you plan on using it.
Thug central. Surprised it's not a weekly occurrence.
