The fundamental skibum609 question, or “Patrol Boy revisited”

4got2wipe
In a brilliant place!
Here’s what I don’t get about skibum609: why does he care?

It is rational to care about things that are going wrong if they are potentially fixable. But if something is fundamentally non-fixable then focusing on it is irrational.

skibum609 has been posting about how shitty things are due to progressives since I started posting and has no doubt being doing it long before that. Now, according to skibum609, our country is so bad that progressive parents have made it so their kids can’t cross the street.

A generation unable to cross the street is pretty fucked up. It is only one step above kids are so stupid they can’t figure out how to wipe their own ass. And not the kind of scatological joke like me or crazyjoe. I’m talking about genuine rickdugan levels of stupidity (rickdugan is actually one step beyond “can’t wipe your own ass stupid” because he can’t figure out how to wipe his own ass and he thinks that’s a good thing!)

Back to skibum609. Let’s go with his hypothetical. America is fucked. Absolutely nothing anybody can do about it. Why not give up, stop caring, and enjoy yourself?

I do enjoy myself 4got. Pretty much not a day goes by where I don't. I play poker; bet horses; swing; strip club; go out to dinner; smoke weed daily; drink too much; enjoy my pool; already have my ski pass and ski vacation for next season planned; Wife and I are off on our fifth trip to Florida since last October in 2 weeks, all oceanfront hotels; rented Audi A5; First Class Flights. I live this way because the world is fucked and I don't care. Spend it all now ... I will outlive the usefulness of this once great land and I am almost 64. We'll fail for the same reason the Kansas City Chiefs failed last year: tougher to keep on winning, than winning for the first time. We're on a 40 year losing streak ........Why do I care? I read 1984 in 1968 and read it at least once a year. It is fucking driving me nuts to see it come true, it is insane to me that Progressives will be the inner party and that I will be a prole ...........

I'm finding it very funny that a dusty old thread from 2 years ago can provoke a debate on the board as if it was written yesterday.

I love it when conservatives misinterpret 1984. Orwell was a Democratic Socialist. The Republicans are The Party. Trump is Big Brother.

Pretty amazing to enjoy something and clearly miss the point.

But then again Paul Ryan loved Rage against the machine. So irony exists.

I'd smoke skibum out. In person we'd be niggaz. I dislike his politics but his experiences and insight are some of the best on here.

Imma ask a rhetorical question: would I be a failure as a rick if I actually felt sorry for Skifredo? Because that is the saddest statement I’ve ever read from any creature anywhere. And that includes emilythesloth, who writes the most depressing poetry ever written.

Before you answer, remember that the question was rhetorical. ricks are never failures.

But Skifredo’s response really was sad. You apes don’t have rick-like powers of observation but surely you apes noticed that he responded to the absent dirty ass guy by sayin’ that he doesn’t care...but then says he does care because 1984 is his favorite book. That’s insane crab logic.

Of course we all know that Skifredo’s “great life” is a fantasy so Imma punish Skifredo in the worst way possible. Yep, Imma not go wildebeest on his ass ‘cause lettin’ him just be all fredo is far worse than anything I can do. ROAR!!!

George Orwell was clearly set against communism and socialism as being implemented by the current democrat party. Remember, he wrote "Animal Farm", as well. What better exemplifies the concept of "some animals being more equal than others" than the maskless indoor dems partying in Martha's Vineyard?

It's a reflex for retarded liberals to point to Trump/DeSantis and the GOP as oppressive Big Brother. Tell me, are you just a lying hypocrit bastard, and piece of shit useful idiot? The Republicans in the Senate, House, Governorships, and the White House are the ones fighting for the freedom to make our own decisions. The democrat party are the ones making all of the rules that everyone but their insiders must follow, using parliamentary loopholes to pass secret legislation, ignoring laws they don't like, and all the while messaging that they know what's best for us.

Nobody is more adept at missing the point or ignoring the truth than the democrat voter.

Gamma ape, I will never understand the obsession you damn dirty apes have with politics. Even my brother rick is constantly prattling on about evil stupid democrats and how great DeSantis is. I’m sure he’s great for an ape politician but whatev.

Frankly, I think you all miss Orwell’s point. It’s a utopian novel, not a dystopian novel. The ricks will be the inner party. The outer party will be the semi badass creatures that need to be kept under control. And most of y’all will be proles. But Skifredo misses the point about proles. They have more freedom than the outer party.

But I shouldn’t be surprised you damn dirty apes miss the point. You’re apes after all. Well, Skifredo is a crab so I expect even less of him. And he always lives down to my expectations. ROAR!!!

Some people just enjoy being angry.

And 1984 will be forever tainted by this in my mind...

Lol - the socialist prisons masquerading as countries known as the USSR and East Germany in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s made 1984 look mild. And yet the lefties still think socialism is good for people.

Orwell was a socialist referring to capitalist dystopia

Orwell was not in any way referring to a capitalist dystopia with either Animal Farm or 1984.

The books were a warning against totalitarianism. He was specifically horrified at Stalin's government in Russia post-WWII and that's what inspired him to write 1984.

He saw the ussr as an incarnation of state capitalism. He was an anarchist.
