Why dont we vote on clubs in different categories once a year ?

The top 10 are coming back in a more regional and time-sensitive format.

Cool idea. I have seen a few clubs that listed themselves as being named "the top club" in some sort of bullshit competition. An annual tuscl vote would be legit.

It would be tough to make the vote not totally extras based otherwise follies and HK would win everything.

A local chef explained to me, that he was told that if he did not advertise his restaurant in a local "arts and entertainment" weekly, that he would not appear in the yearly "best of the city" lists

Even if not manipulated by the editors, these lists are manipulated by businesses. They will pre-print the voting form, and hand out self-addressed envelopes with coupons.

You wouldn't really want to do categories for specific extras (stick shifting, ldk, etc). The point of a voted top list would be an award a club could post on their wall.

You need a hillbilly ranking system for clubs in the South and a GPS meter for clubs west coast. For the NE, WASP ranking and for the North, fuck that who wants to club in Iowa anyway.
