VIP discussion comments

Before the board split, the way I used to keep track of threads I participated in or reviews I commented on was to look at the discussion/review comments in my profile. However, the comments I make in the VIP section don't show up.

@Founder is there anyway you can make a VIP comments section so I can use my old method again? And of course, folks who don't have VIP wouldn't be able to view it. Much like us PLs can't view any dancer dressing room comments. Or is that not possible?

Hmm - had not noticed VIP comments were not recorded in one's profile - I assume they are not counted in one's comments count then?

They do count on your Comments number. I just tried it.

Considering that the VIP board is lower volume, I don't really have a problem keeping up with the threads in here. But perhaps there's a way for VIPs to see their comments, but only when they have VIP status.

I was wondering what was happening to my posts. I like to go back to posts I've written in and see if there's any followup discussion. I was able to find the discussion through the VIP page but not my profile page.

Most boards can track which posts you’ve read and have a ‘go to first unread post’ button. Founder has been attentive to board needs and the VIP room and review approval have been really good. Once all that shakes out, next on my wish list is that go to first unread post button.

@Liwet I would guess that the same means used to block search engines prevents VIP posts from being copied, but I’d guess founder still tracks unique visitors as a means of billing his advertisers.
