  I’ve not experienced that issue. You are unbuttoning and unzipping? I’d recommend moving your pants down a bit. Since it’s not private enough to leave your pants around your ankles - unbutton - unzip - lean back and slide your pants down a bit - and then the zipper should be away from things.
