I guess we have to do what we can when the family doesn't gather in the living room to catch a radio show anymore, though. When I go back for a visit, my family usually asks what Juice, Mamisan and Bagboy James have been up to. I can't wait to tell them about Dirty Ol Red. Tin Naing is going to get a kick out of that!

Most comfortable time to visit Miami is December-May - hurricane season is June-November but of course it doesn't mean you will get hit by one if one comes in June-Nov - the weather is more comfortable Dec-May and even in winter likely one can wear shorts and flip-flops almost every day.

Ok so lets do a Detroit meetup in early Fall before it gets too cold if we can, and an ATL or Miami meetup in Jan like suggested I think by juicebox69 in another thread. I'd prefer Miami because I'll already be in FL a lot in the winter.

Ppwh - in retrospect, I should have read her some of Mamisan's posts. She would have found them pretty entertaining, I presume.

Juicebox69 suggested Miami. I could make that happen. It would be a 4 hour drive from Tampa, but I wouldn't mind spending a couple nights in Miami relaxing after working in Tampa. Plus, a chef I really like has a restaurant there I'd like to check out. So if there are enough "yes"s for Miami in Jan, I can probably make it work.

Why, nina, it's obvious where the next TUSCL meetup should be -- we can all hang out together at Nicole's place, then head on over to Palazio to chill in a cabana with nicespice.

Most meet-ups don't have more than 4 people - a lot of people are gung-ho at first but hardly anyone follows thru especially if they gotta come in from out of town

I have to plan pretty far ahead otherwise my work schedule takes over. Can also meet in Atlanta pretty much anytime. I’m really pretty much a loner but have had great time whenever I have had the opportunity to meet fellow TUSCLers, both the ladies and the, um, gentlemen, so I should get out of my shell more.

The 17th, and the day before and after it, are the only days that actually won't work for me in Jan.

I can do Sept 6, but I need guarantees from more guys. I live in the metro area so I could definitely make it.

What about Jan 24 in Miami? I’m pretty wide open right now, but in my experience when trying to schedule something it’s best to talk specific dates right away or nothing gets done.

Anyone stopping in Newark might enjoy a trip to Rutts Hutt for some dirty oil dogs! The oil hasn’t been changed in decades - and it’s still cleaner than the water in the hot tub Juice was floating in!

Of course - the toilets are usually clogged there too.

No promises, but if there’s a confirmed meetup date closer to that day, and it falls within a Wednesday-Sunday then I could be persuaded to maybe join in.
