Where is it going to happen? Detroit? Atlanta? I'm traveling a lot in the upcoming months so I'm sure I could make it work, although Detroit would be easier. Anyone have flexible schedules coming up within the next few months? I wouldn't be dancing at the club, I'll just stop by and have a couple drinks with you guys and probably do when many of you don't like (make it rain lol). Please advise. :)

    Pay for your own airfare. I actually went to Detroit just yesterday to visit my mom and read her what you said and what I responded with. She was entertained, laughed at your ignorance, commended my eloquently putting you in your place, and said she wants to meet you if you ever come to one of the Detroit meet ups. Pay your own airfare and I'll bring her along.

    @Nina haha I’m definitely a food lover as well. @Lloyd Good point. I can’t be forgetting to also have bibingka. If I get too excited and eat it too quickly, it will be dipping down my chin and be very sticky!

I guess we have to do what we can when the family doesn't gather in the living room to catch a radio show anymore, though. When I go back for a visit, my family usually asks what Juice, Mamisan and Bagboy James have been up to. I can't wait to tell them about Dirty Ol Red. Tin Naing is going to get a kick out of that!

    Most comfortable time to visit Miami is December-May - hurricane season is June-November but of course it doesn't mean you will get hit by one if one comes in June-Nov - the weather is more comfortable Dec-May and even in winter likely one can wear shorts and flip-flops almost every day.

    Ok so lets do a Detroit meetup in early Fall before it gets too cold if we can, and an ATL or Miami meetup in Jan like suggested I think by juicebox69 in another thread. I'd prefer Miami because I'll already be in FL a lot in the winter. Ppwh - in retrospect, I should have read her some of Mamisan's posts. She would have found them pretty entertaining, I presume.

    Juicebox69 suggested Miami. I could make that happen. It would be a 4 hour drive from Tampa, but I wouldn't mind spending a couple nights in Miami relaxing after working in Tampa. Plus, a chef I really like has a restaurant there I'd like to check out. So if there are enough "yes"s for Miami in Jan, I can probably make it work.

    Most meet-ups don't have more than 4 people - a lot of people are gung-ho at first but hardly anyone follows thru especially if they gotta come in from out of town

    I am going to be in Detiot again Sept 6. Anyone game for a meet up at Flight Club that evening? I’m also game for a meetup in Miami in Jan. Anyone good for Jan 17? I have to plan pretty far ahead otherwise my work schedule takes over. Can also meet in Atlanta pretty much anytime. I’m really pretty much a loner but have had great time whenever I have had the opportunity to meet fellow TUSCLers, both the ladies and the, um, gentlemen, so I should get out of my shell more.

    What about Jan 24 in Miami? I’m pretty wide open right now, but in my experience when trying to schedule something it’s best to talk specific dates right away or nothing gets done.

    Anyone stopping in Newark might enjoy a trip to Rutts Hutt for some dirty oil dogs! The oil hasn’t been changed in decades - and it’s still cleaner than the water in the hot tub Juice was floating in! Of course - the toilets are usually clogged there too.

    As far as I’m concerned Jan 24 at Tootsies is confirmed. We’ll see who else shows up. If I’m the only one, there’s worse places for a guy to be stuck by himself. I won’t be lonely long.

    Haha. Mostly my schedule. Jan 24th will be the spring semester so I don’t know whether I will even be available yet. But I haven’t gotten out of Texas yet (club wise) so I’m very tempted to go!

    Eh. From what I've heard, most of the people who RSVP to these things rarely go. No matter. If it falls through I'll just be at some beach bar basking my naturally tan body in a Brazilian bikini and Chanel sunglasses while sipping an extra dirty Tanqueray martini garnished with bleu cheese olives.
