In my early 20s in 2000, 2001 when open front room extras started happening. the '90s boom times were over, dotcom crashed, 9/11 happened. It felt like broken window theory. Sort of obvious then the dancer and PL next to you are going at it at his table.

I heard about seductions and sundowner in Niagara Falls Ontario in my early/mid 20s. I wasn’t going to strip clubs then on a regular basis but came here when ASPD.net bit the dust. This site opened me up to other clubs around the country that had similar mileage.

I first learned about 20 years ago when I stopped at a club on the way to the Miami airport with Les Girls on the outside. Inside it was a dive, dancers and customers were mostly latina, and I looked lost. However, at 3 pm the place was rockin. A lovely young dancer with decent english came up to me and asked me if I had ever been there before. I said no as it was obvious. She explained that many of these girls are going to try to talk me into their private dance booths and sell me full service. She told me that they would offer me that for $100. She also told me don't go with any of them. I asked "why"? She said because I will do if for you for $60. I did have to pay $5 extra for a condom. I was hooked.

When did I learn it could be had for less than $1000? About 1-2 months into dancing. (The general advice to me when I started was to never sleep with a customer for less than that.)

When I was 16 (early 60's) and driving a couple buddies and I used to go to Howard St. In Akron Ohio which was basically a red light district. There I became a monger addicted to sex. You could get a 50/50 full service for 20 dollars or less. About 2005. Someone told me that a Detroit club called Henry VIII S had a reputation for fun. I stopped by one evening and on the way to the men's room I happened to notice the "VIP" room, a series of chairs with 3 or 4 dancers kneeling and servicing their male customers in this open room. The talent was pretty weak so I passed.

Shortly thereafter, I discovered Bogart's, sister club for Henry VIII. It had better talent, especially on Tuesdays. It also had an open VIP area, a large room with chairs arrayed around the perimeter. During my first "private" dance, I was amazed to see five girl-customer combinations with the girls either kneeling or bouncing up and down on their partially clothed customers in cow girl or reverse cow girl position. The open VIP has since been replaced by more private booths but Bogarts (and the two Henry VIII clubs) are still both extras-friendly clubs. Of course, I also discovered other Metro Detroit clubs that were more classy.

Girls doing outside service has always been there.

But lap dancing started at MBOT and it meant lap sitting. What else it meant varied widely, but the only totally prohibited on site was FS.

And it was just money being handed out on an ongoing basis. Similar to what comes and goes in our underground circuit.

But 'Buying Dances' came later, after Jim and Artie had already won all the legal battles themselves, when booths and VIP Rooms were introduced. And then as an operator worked to limit all front room contact, clubs became chip joints, places where chumps were induced into buying dances.

Now often there will be no real limits in how far this might go, but the price is artificially high and the general choreography between you and the girl is spoiled.

Buying dances is a chump's game, and thinking about it as extras is just a bad way of interacting with the girl.

And notice that what Jestrite50, our expert womanizer is talking about is not really the same chump's game. He is talking about seeing girls outside of the club, and he is talking about low cost situations, and much freer and fluid interactions with the girls then you would find today in the standard clip joints. There really is no concept of 'extras' in his descriptions.

I had known about extras before I ever experienced extras. I first read about it in 2013 when I came across a website called Two Sheds Michigan Strip Club Pages. I first experienced it in 2017 when I finally decided to visit a club that had a reputation for extras.

Maybe someday US clubs can get beyond that, and become more like all which is written about TJ? Or just more fluid ways of setting up OTC?

1999... I was 17 and took a trip to Lexington to check out the UK campus. I had visited a couple of Cincinnati area clubs over the past year, so after my campus tour I decided to visit a club that a friend of mine who went to UK sugested. Within 20 minutes I had been quoted quite a wide ranging menu of services.

That's when I realized how lame Cincinnati clubs were and I always hoped they would become more like other cities. Sadly, that never happened.

I learned extras existed long before I realized they were extras. I’d been visiting dirty clubs in Irvington and other parts of Northern NJ - where extras were common. I started getting more involved in mongering in the early 2000’s - so it was about 17 years ago.

No VIP rooms @ Bogies back in the day, but very good lap dances (LDK). I'm sure OTC could be had if you knew the dancer a long time.
