Many young women ( 18 - 24 ) do like older men. Not a majority, but maybe 5 to 10% of general population, and 50% of strippers.
5% is a low percentage, but it is still more women than any guy could ever handle.
Says that those with such interests dress outlandishly, Avant Garde, instead of Trendy. Jives with my own experiences.

Since being more option to looking around these days, I am starting to realize something @shailynn posted was right. If you look at a group of 20 y/o women, about 7-8 out of 15 of them are hot. If you look at 50 y/o women (or ever 40), about 1-2 out of 15 of them are still hot. That’s a big difference.
I’ve been meeting up with or looking at pictures of women I knew from 13+ years ago or from HS or college, my age or 2 years younger. And a lot of them look like OLD women now. It’s startling.
I’m starting to see why you guys like the 18-35 y/o dancers and SBs so much.
