I don't do extras as frequently as some but I stll end up getting tested at a free local clinic about every 6-months (sometimes a bit longer), should do it more frequently though
What an idiot, @SkiBum. Condoms are only about 30% to 50% effective against genital herpes, as just one example.
I've been getting tested between partners.
Used to go to Planned Parenthood but STDExpress is better for two reasons: (1) You can just walk into local Quest Diagnostic centers to get tested quickly and (2) you can pull up a full history of tests on your phone if you want to share results with a new partner. About $198 for full panel including HSV-2 herpes antibody test (which you get when you have no symptoms).
I'm completely clean and want to keep it that way.
I was out of control as of late sometimes banging multiple chicks (not strippers) in a single night. I used STD Test Express. The full panel was $198 cash or as low as $65 if you charged it to your insurance. I charged it to Blue Cross Blue Shield and only paid $65. The test results were available online 26 hours after my blood and piss were taken. I tested negative for everything luckily.
Couple of times a year, or immediately if a high risk event. High risk = no protection vaginal or anal intercourse; has only happened once. Other than that, everything else is relatively low risk. I think if you're married, this just seems like the right thing to do, no?
Usually twice a year as part of other blood tests being done. I figure I am already at the lab getting the blood drawn so may as well go ahead and pay for the std panel for some peace of mind.
w.r.t. HIV, AFAIK, it can barely be detected, if at all, in the first 3-months in case of an infection - i.e. w.r.t HIV more important to be tested at 3-months post high-risk event, than right after - and again at 6 months to be safe.
Yeah, true, but the HIV RNA test can be conclusive after about 10 days. It's a bit more expensive as it actually determines if the virus is present vs. the antibody test which is standard, but it can take up to 3 months to develop antibodies.
So I guess not quite immediate, but I waited about 12 days for this one event. Totally agree retesting at 3 months is necessary just to be totally safe though.
I used to do it annually, during my physical. But then I found out that my local free clinic (which is run by my County Health Department and funded with tax dollars) hands out free $10 gift cards to anyone who comes in to get tested during World AIDs Day and National HIV Testing Day. So now I get tested twice a year and I actually get paid to do it. Having a government employee shove a swab up your pee-hole and stick you with needles is actually a pretty decent metaphor for paying taxes in New Jersey.

I hear that. Technically, thanks to the Abbott Supreme Court decision, we all get to enjoy the experience of paying for Newark (and Camden, etc.). They should probably send us invitations to the graduation party. (Or the parole hearing.)
They still do that to test for chlamydia and gonorrhea. So either it's still necessary or else someone at the clinic is getting her jollies off playing a sick joke on me.
If you go to the anonymous low cost places (like the free clinic) you might get the swab in the urethra. It's about as fun as it sounds. But if the alternative is mandatory reporting on even the most minor STDs then so be it.
About every 3-4months. Comprehensive panel runs just under $300. Probably overkill as I’m not seeing multiple partners but I want as much piece of mind as this frequency provides.

You're leaving out testing for genital herpes (HSV-2). Places like Planned Parenthood don't test for herpes unless you've had some sort of outbreak. And the reasoning is that even if you test positive, what would you do with that information?
After giving it a lot of thought, I *do* get tested for HSV-2, even though I've never had any symptoms. The rationale is that 20% of the population are carriers and 90% don't know it. You can pass herpes whether you have an outbreak or not. Getting herpes is not the end of the world -- but I've decided that the knowledge is important if you're going to fuck young girls who have to live with it the rest of their lives. So I do get HSV-2 antibody testing now, and (thankfully) I'm clean.
Despite the girls telling me that they are clean, every 3 months. That really should be the maximum interval between full panels for those that are about dat life.
I do the full panel at $250 or so. They usually just do urine tests, but I've had the urethra swab for Gonorrhea/Chlamydia once when I had a girl (civi gil I met at a concert) tell me she had symptoms and was waiting on results, so I went to get tested & told them I had been with someone who had symptoms. I wore a condom both times so I wasn't surprised I came back clean.
Pretty sure there was no medical reason to do the swab, but she was intentionally trying to make it uncomfortable to "teach me a lesson" as that instance of getting tested included significant lecturing. I'm a grown man, so I kinda told her to shut the fuck up and do her job. But, I was a little concerned about how they treated it. I can see that experience making a younger person not want to get tested, which is a real shame.
I'm not really an extras guy, just the regular lap dance routine, maybe the occasional unintended facesitting where the stripper just shoves my head in her ass for about 5 seconds. Do i need to get tested for that?

It’s a bit rough on my breath - but it keeps me strong and horny!

I sleep quite well!
I’m in Essex county - and I have the privilege of paying for the waste that goes on in Newark.

I feel my money is more productively spent in strip clubs.
* HIV
* Chlamydia (urine)
* Gonorrhea (oral)
* Gonorrhea (urine)
* Syphilis

I agree - *peace* of mind is overrated
:)
