Just curious if you can tell a girl is a dancer when you dont know her and she is not in a club. Is there certain things you look for? If so what? The reason i ask is i was approached by someone outside of the club and asked if i was a dancer. I dont remember the guy but it started to make me wonder if there was something about the way i was dressed (civvie clothes obviously) or acted that may have tipped this guy off or if it was someone i had met and just didnt remember.
I saw a girl at a Renaissance Festival throwing tomatos at the guu that was giving insults. He accused her of being a stripper. She was with two guys. I heard her ask one of them how the guy knew.... must have been a lucky guess. She was cute
I would never go ask anyone. Sometimes I can tell -- both in real life, and getting better at spotting the strippers on SA just from pics and the profile. I'm not always sure what I pick up. In general, if she has tats, dresses a little overly sexy, and her manner leans into her sexiness rather than playing it down, I suspect she could be a stripper. Not every stripper gives off that vibe, and there are many non-stripper "hot partygirls" who have the same vibe, so it's not a sure thing. The tats, and a "lean into my sexuality" attitude tend to tip things for me.
Interested in what other guys come up with, that I may be picking up but haven't thought of.
There have been a few times when a lady told me she was or had been a stripper and it didn’t surprise me. In the few cases where I was told by the lady, I noticed a seemingly contradictory attitudes regarding people. She could go from sweet to jaundiced and back again with no seeming reason. But my experience with this is very limited so maybe the small sample size isn’t representative.
Depends on where you are I know if I’m in Walmart at 3AM and there is a hot looker buying diapers or baby food she’s probably a stripper otherwise, it just a sense you get after being around them enough you can guess and be right 75% of the time.
-->"I don’t see how you can really tell. I see plenty of hot, slutty looking girls outside that I hope to see at my next club visit."
It may well be that we cue in on exactly that -- it's not just hot and slutty *looking*, it's the tats and the attitude -- which is shared by strippers and also other groups, but whenever a girl does turn out to be a stripper, we use a little confirmation bias thinking to convince ourselves we are walking Stripper Radars :)
One can see a hot chick and think she could make good $$$ stripping and one may wonder if she is, but it's a crapshoot whether they are or not.
I ran into 2 at malls that turned out to be strippers:
1) in the 2000s when I lived in Dallas - saw a young ebony (turned out to be 19), no tats, had the suburban look vs hood-look, but an incredible rack - she was wearing a tight form-fitting stretchy/elastic type top/tanktop, and a denim skirt - she was very pretty with light brown skin and didn't necessarily look like a stripper but looked very very sexy - she was hanging/shopping with 2 or 3 other girl friends and when she separated from the pack I asked her if she was a dancer and kinda to my surprise she said yes - she told me her club and her schedule, went to see her a couple of days later and her rack was even more impressive bare, one of the GOAT racks I've seen
2) another 19 y/o ebony also in the 2000s but at a Miami mall while home for vacation - not exactly my type, she was slender but had a nice figure and very long legs and also light-brown skinned - I don't recall what I said but she asked me if I liked to go to clubs - I asked her which types of clubs and she said strip cluns - I said yes and met up with her a few days later and enjoyed her dances but nothing over the top
This was all pre-TUSCL days - I have asked other ebonies since then and the answer has been no - I try to ask politely and then tell them the reason I asked is b/c they have such s nice figure.
A lot of dancers don't give off clear visual signals about their profession (start talking to them, and they will often say things that are a tip off, though). I've also met women who had a solid stripper look, but never stripped.
That guy probably saw you in the club and was trying to be slick about it, or he had a bit of wishful thinking that hit the mark.
Also, a lot intentionally dress kind of anti-stripper outside the club: baggy sweatpants, baggy shirts. In clubs where they come in through the front door, I often see them come in dressed like this, and the ones I have met up with after work are often dressed like this. Many don’t, of course.
I can pick them out on SA and when escorts were at one time dancers ( which seems to be a topic never discussed on here--how many escorts start out as dancers in clubs)
I can also tell from their social media at times......in person away from the club it normally is not as easy to tell unless you are in Vegas--there---yep you can pick them out at times pretty easily.
You know, I've never seen a stripper carrying a crown royal bag as a purse. So many of you mention it that I believe it, I've just never seen it. IME, strippers are more likely to carry $500-$1500 Louis/YSL/etc purses, which seem to be an incredibly important part of how they portray themselves
I'll reverse engineer the question: I remember once seeing a longtime regular dancer in this area at the State Fair. She was there with what appeared to be a boyfriend, I was there with my SO and parents.
I remember thinking, "When not in a bikini and with the big back tattoo hidden ... pretty normal."
I can't tell but you can pick up clues that either she is a party girl or a stripper. I have 2 nieces that I wondered if they were stripping but I never asked. They have tats. Not too bad though. They like to party. I remember seeing a pic of them at a Vegas pool with other hot girls in bikinis on Facebook. I thought I have nothing to gain by asking. If one of her friends is friends with pole dancing something, it really makes you wonder. However if they never danced, they probably know some dancers. Some dancers know me that wouldn't be any big deal. I haven't kept in contact with any dancers. I think dark tats, and other visual clues makes us go, hmmm maybe a stripper? If she's hot we're going to look at her anyway.
As shadowcat says. I'll turn pd's question around to "if you've seen some dancers walk into club in their street clothes, would you peg them as being a dancer?" In the case of dancers with "normal" build (no enhancement) and no visible ink, I'd say the answer would be no. All the same, I'd never walk up to a total stranger, and ask them if they're a dancer. But the things that shadowcat mentioned does make me wonder.
-->"I can't tell but you can pick up clues that either she is a party girl or a stripper. "
That it is, exactly. The two groups have the exact same tells, and in fact overlap each other. I can't tell which one she is -- possibly both -- but that's the tell. A sum total of being attractive, dressing to show off that attractiveness (often just a little sexier than everyone else; even at the supermarket, her jeans are just a tad tighter and her cotton shirt a little more clingy, than most women's), behaving in such a way as to draw attention to that attractiveness, tats, etc. Obviously, this is a big generalization -- some strippers don't dress that way at all and try to blend, and even strippers who do have all those tells sometimes dress down, etc.
When my ATATF had stripper roommates, I partied with the girls -- and their various friends who are also strippers -- and this style, which I was well acquainted with already, just fit them to a T
I won’t say I can always tell, but I’ve suspected more than a few. As others have stated, many dancers dress down when they’re doing mundane things. But I’ve been to the boat a few times across the river, and there’s a distinction between civvies dressing up, and dancers dressing up. Platform shoes seem to be common.

Agree, but the girls purposely seem to dress down so they don't attract creepers on their walk from mass transit or the parking lot, to the club. I can actually often answer "yes" to that question: if there's a girl who looks pretty, in way dressed down clothes, making no eyecontact and making a beeline somewhere, and it's shift change time -- fuck yes she's a stripper!
No. I think our deranged thinking, influenced by far too many days/nights in too many strip clubs, makes us think "stripper" far more often than is really the case. The way these girls dress nowadays, it is impossible to discern who is the sex worker and who just lacks modesty.
There's a stripper that works at the club I go to nowadays that I run into at my local convenience store occasionally and you can tell she is a party girl for sure.
It's not the look or the tats as much as it is how they carry themselves and where the tats are located.
Anymore a single tattoo on a women doesn't mean all that much, especially if it is what use to be known as the proverbial tramp stamp on the lower back.......when you see the Vuitton shoes with the red soles, a little bit more make-up than normal and being able to drink most guys under the table your odds just went up you found a stripper......if she is busting the bartenders balls how he makes drinks or ( if there is a DJ hitting him up to play certain songs) has a stack of cash on her --mostly small bills zoom in your radar......
And what orionsmith mentioned ----and why I said by their social media.......there are a fair amount of girls that do not want the world to know they are strippers so looking at the pictures on their social media is not a good indication...however looking at their friends list is because I promise you some of her friends don't care, some of her friends will be bartenders or managers, and they will have that information on their profiles.
I'll also second what Subraman stated about dressing down during the daytime doing mundane tasks....but they will have a stack of small bills on them just the same.......and sunglasses....no matter if it is pouring rain or not.
Royal Crown bags? Hummmm! At my local watering hole, the barmaid/tenders save those bags for a guy. What does that mean? I know I've used them to clean my bike, as they are good for that.
Some times I can spot strippers in other venues. In particular, an office temporary worker we hired. It was the flamboyant way she dressed, with her matching heels, and the way she carried herself.
Though less than a classic beauty, she had guys coming out of their cubicles just to watch her.
I don’t think there are definite give away signs anymore. Aside from what twentyfive mentioned about Walmart shopping for diapers and formula at 3 am - there are few obvious signals.
In my view, it’s more likely that you will see a civilian girl trying to look like a stripper - than a stripper looking like a stripper (in public). It’s like those suburban guys who dress like substitute pimps - but who are bankers or accountants.
I see women occasionally who I would swear are strippers. It’s a combination of their dress, their tats, and their attitude. If the spend a big pile of $1 bills that’s an obvious sign too. I don’t know if I’m right but much of the time I bet I am.
Next time you see a hot stripper-looking chick in public, approach her w/ a bunch of $1s in your hand and ask her if you can give her a tip - if she looks at you weird, probably not a stripper; if she pulls her waistband to the side for you to place the $1s, well she's probably a stripper
I see plenty of women out in public that could make a ton of money as a stripper. I suspect that about 99% of them are not. It really is hard to tell. You could say the way they dress might be a factor, but there are a lot of women who dress slutty, because they just happen to be sluts. But, just because a woman may dress slutty, it does not mean that she is a sex worker.
One place where I do see a lot of hot women is at the gym I go to. Sometimes when I see a hottie that has really long hair, it has me wondering if she is a stripper.
At the LA Fitness gym I go to in Miami I can almost-swear some of those chicks dance at Tootsies - they're carbon-copies of each other and also dress to kill in the gym.
Its pretty hard these days given the open sexuality girls have now. But some are just stupid obvious like over enhanced features and tight clothes but those girl next door types I love are sneaky. But on a related note I did have an friendly exec peg me as a womanizing pl before I knew I became a pl. He got a solid soul read on me ;)
I've definitely seen women I felt were strippers or at least would not be too hard to get into bed. Usually by how they dressed, held themselves and tats. But you never know for sure.
There are a lot of former strippers out there as well.
In my local area, Platinum Plus used to give out change in two dollar bills and no one wanted a bunch of them or it was an easy way to tell where they were at. A pretty female with a bunch of two's I would assume to be a stripper or a bartender or waitress at the strip club or someone who got change from customers at another bar.
I heard a guy at work asked another guy for change for a two dollar bill. He said he never saw the other guy at the strip club but the other guy smiled and said I know where you've been.
I was thinking you could just drop a few singles in front of the girl (at Walmart) and watch how she picks them up. Civilian girls won’t have a system for it. Strippers will pick them up - and they won’t even look as they put the single in their purse. If you get a good one - she might forget - and stuff the singles in the waistband of her pants.
I don't think I could really tell with any certainty. The only real giveaway would be a 'status' hand bag, like where it really didn't fit with the rest of her, and the Mrs or I are left wondering if it's from sex work or a gift from a generous older man. Since everyone uses a 2500 dollar bag as her daily purse. I still don't think I could really tell with any certainty.

In fairness, it was outside in the club parking lot.......

@BJ99, is there anything that tips you off to a male club regular? I suspect not, as Papi said, but curious.

So no.
