I would say for me probably yes. I retired from concerts because like my hearing. The last time I went to a casino I almost lost everything because I wanted the big one. Our local sports team has a shiny new arena but they really suck. I haven't been to a nightclub in so long I don't give it any thought.
If we're only talking live entertainment, then hell yeah. I don't do anything else at this volume or expense or this consistency. Maybe only traveling or traveling/gambling (if you're talking about going to Vegas) can get more expensive, but that's at most a once in a year or even few years type of thing for me. Buying expensive shit i don't need; i don't really do that. Boating, fishing, shooting/hunting, golfing, audiophile/DJing, hot-rodding, car-modding, autotracking/racing, never got into those expensive hobbies. Eating out at expensive places, going to concerts or sporting events or expensive cultural events, theaters, museums, shows, nah. I've been single too long to really do that. SCing is where it's at for me. The one good things is that i've never used my credit card for it or gotten into debt over it. Once that happens, i'll have to stop for sure...
I spend money on lots of other forms of entertainment. I’ve got kids - and I’ve taken my girls to see several broadway shows - they’ve seen Hamilton twice. I’ve taken them to many theme parks and on trips. I’ve also been to several concerts with them - and numerous sporting events too.
If it was just strip clubs and otc - I’d have a lot more money! Lol! Thankfully porn is basically free!!!!
