When you have a table full of rookies best seat is first card dealt second best is last card dealt otherwise if I see inexperienced players at BlackJack I try to find another table.

You are at the mercy of whoever is drawing the card you need and you don’t even get to gauge the cards coming out of the shoe you just got lucky happens sometimes but you can’t count on it.

Everyone in this thread complaining that the skill of certain players affects their chances at winning. You're just as likely to win/lose if the guy in third base hits/stands/doubles whatever. Unless you know the exact card to come out, you're just as likely to win as you are to lose if someone doesn't make the correct play.
^^^That is so incorrect the only answer I’ll give is there are some people that consistently win without cheating yet the casinos keep a file with names facial recognition and identifiers so you obviously don’t know what you are talking about.

The most important seat at 21 is third base, i.e. last to play before the dealer. Watching some douche stand on 16 and having the dealer pull a 4 on a soft 17 because of it makes it justifiable homicide and not murder. The third baseman is even more important if s/he is counting cards even if its just a basic count.

Third base can't affect the cards the dealer gets any more than first base can even if you are counting down the deck. It sucks when third base doesn't make the right play and the dealer hits 21, but third base isn't the one to be blamed.
