Why do porn stars have first and last names, but strippers only have first names

Porn stars and strippers have names?

Some porn stars do only have one name and some strippers do use a last name, granted that none of them use their real names, first or last. At least at the one club I used to go to regularly, last names were used to differentiate between two girls who would prefer to use the same name.

PL's can't even remember a first name, let alone two.

A first name is all that’s needed for strippers. First off - I’m going to forget it immediatley. Second - it’s not her real first name. And third - it’s not great to hear the DJ announce - “Next up is the sex and buxom Alissa Rosenberg!!! Enjoy guys!”

With respect to porn stars - every girl who has been on cam seems to be considered a porn star now. In the past - a very long time ago - last names weren’t really needed - as there were only a handful of real stars. Now - there are so many porn stars - they might need to include a middle initial too!

Mitchell Bros has always used first and last names for their strippers, and I (and the local PLs) always loved it. For some reason, it makes the girls names easier to remember, not harder; and, as the club goes through Ashley after Ashley after Ashley, you can tell just by looking at the schedule whether there's a new Ashley at the club.

One club only has so many dancers, so last names would just be an added complexity.

But in the entire world of porno starlets there are quite a few. And that industry runs through women very quickly.

I have met a few dancers with two names. Quite a few choose the same "last" name. Common ones I have heard are:
Love
Lust
Fox
Moore

Porn stars need two names because the headstone doesn't look right with just one name.
