Rookie move = being ripped-off

From a recent review of St James in Houston, TX:
"... I gave a dancer on stage $100 to dance for a shy friend. I pointed him out and told her his name. It was towards closing time and the dancer snuck out the back.
When I reported it to management, he accused me of laying money the stage when, so, according to him, it was "stage" and not "dance" money, even though I specifically gave money to girl, pointed out friend, and she acknowledged arrangement.
When I told manager in a courteous and polite manner given the situation that I would write a negative review and post it, he became very threatening and menacing, and had very large bouncer come over and escort friend and myself out of club.
THE PLACE HAS THIEVES WORKING THERE AND IS OPERATED BY THUGS ..."

There was a setup like this at one of my favorite Wisconsin clubs. It was an upscale club, and the dancers did conduct their business in an honest manner. When I would go to the dance area, I was always required to pre-pay for the first dance. I never had any issues in doing so. Then again, the whole concept really didn't make sense. If you got 2 or more dances, you would still have to pay for the additional dances afterwards.
At least it wasn't a $100 ROB experience.
I remember one club was raided within a week after I posted something I didn't think was that bad. Another time I emailed the strip club chain management and they suspended dancers and bouncers for 2 weeks after they did an internal investigation.
If your only recourse is to write a bad review on this site - then you aren’t in a good position. The threat of a bad tuscl review isn’t going to get an asshole manager to become less of an asshole.
Likewise avoid paying the VIP dancer-fee upfront but sometimes the little-head just tells me DO IT b/c I gotta have the bitch; but this is more of the exception.
Threatening to write a negative review to an already-hostile manager -- as if you're "safe" in a strip club, like it's a spa and not a place often run by thugs -- is some mix of poor judgement, poor situational awareness, and stupidity.
I noticed at the Vegas clubs some girls ask you to pay before the dance starts. Not sure why but it's definitely a turn off for me. Are you that worried about not being paid your precious $20?
Had he known any better he'd had tipped like $5 and asked her to come over. I'm sure he probably wouldn't have been bent out of shape then, and it's more likely she'd had come over if she's after more money. Im thankful I found TUSCL before ever having a prepay situation, whether good or bad.
I wouldn't fault the management, but escorting them out the club seems extreme. I'm sure someone who didn't get ripped off has negatively reviewed the club.
