If there is more incest or family taboo porn it is because people are searching for it. Simple as that.

From around 2001 to 2006, the industry was very afraid of Federal obscenity prosecution due to the perceived puritanism of the then-newly elected George W. Bush administration. Porn industry super-lawyer Paul Cambria came up with a list of things that pornographers shouldn't do if they wanted to avoid prosecution by the Bush Justice Department. One of the things he said to avoid was movies featuring incest as a theme. Honestly, some of his suggestions were just silly, such as avoiding interracial porn using black male performers, and the industry never took that suggestion seriously, but they definitely seemed to take the incest suggestion seriously.
As public support for Bush weakened by 2006, pornographers began to explore some of the previously off-limits themes again, including incest. Of course, the Cambria List was an overreaction by the industry to begin with, and some minor industry players continued to flout his suggestions all throughout the Bush years. It's true, the religious wing of the Party seemed ascendant with the election of GWB, but the only major porn prosecution that I know of that began under Bush's watch was John Stagliano, which was an especially stupid and wasteful prosecution that continued under Obama before ultimately failing. And I don't think Stagliano's prosecution had anything to do with "violating" the Cambria List.
Anyway, the incest stuff seems harmless, even if it were real, as long as it's consensual.
