Tats - I just don't get it - why?

I'll never understand what some of the honeys are thinking with their tats. Hell, I like a well placed tramp stamp or a little something placed strategically on the belly or back of the neck.

But...I have no idea what the fuck some of the beautiful honeys are thinking when they get a blob of something incomprehensible on their arms or...worst yet...hands or...worst even yet...a big blob of something on their chest and neck.

How do they get caught up in this shit?

Chest tats (right across the tits), face tats, and ass tats (which cover the entire ass) are all turnoffs normally. I agree with you're "what the hell were they thinking?" train of thought on those. Other than that I like some tasteful well done tats or impartial to most.

Most common reason I hear is "Because every body else is doing it".

Several years ago there was a social study done in the youth. It was found that the single most value they had over everything else was fame, or to be noticed. That was valued higher than wealth, success, or relationship status.

So now you have fame being listed as the single most important thing, and the youth looking to get noticed because they are believing that it is more important to stick out, instead of conforming. I know, that's some real ducked up thinking ala SJG style of thinking. Tattoos are the quickest way a young person can make herself stand out from a crowd and feel special. It takes very little effort and immediate gratification wins!

The behavioral pattern of those who get tattoos is interesting. Not all who get tattoos are described like this, but it is a trend that can be explained by behavior. Too bad they have to rationalize their behavior as a teenager for the rest of their life. I've had several dancers tell me they regret a tattoo. The only ones who are glad they've got it are the really young strippers and ones who just got a fresh one, barely a few months ago.

I don't like tats or any other body alterations never did never will. I do overlook them for some girls because they have such good personalities, but my regular CFs are tat and piercings free.

I used to hear it was a form of rebellion/being cool. But it seems a majority of the younger generation have them so it kinda defeats that. I believe a lot of it now is the "follow the crowd" mentality.

A lot of strippers today regret getting them 10 years ago.

I've said this before, and it is only my opinion...

I have yet to see a tattoo make any lady more attractive, but I have seen many make them look trashy.

Being from Gen X tats are pretty sexy to me. But they have to be tasteful tattoos. Not some my lil pony bullshit

    It's entirely generational and subjective.

Some people collect tattoos from specific tattoo artists. While for others it's a much more impulsive decision.

I'm absolutely fine with tattoos and good tattoo work on some women is a big turn on.

Based on what I've experienced - I'd definitely say it's a generational thing. The same goes for body piercings (outside of ear piercings). When I was growing up, the guys in the military were the only folks who I knew to have tattoos. Over the years - things changed - and more folks got those upper arm tattoos and piercings. Then the (common tattoo areas) moved from just the arm to all over the body.

Tattoos are not something I plan to get. However, with teen kids - I'm guessing that it will be something they may want. I would rather they tell me - so that I can help them to find a reputable tattoo place - to avoid certain risks.

While I think millennials are more accepting of both tats and piercings than x'ers and boomers, I would also say it is absolutely NOT THE CASE that in the specific case of strippers, this is entirely generational or even primarily generational. It has **always** been the case that strippers were more likely to have tats than their customers (and, indeed, the rest of society), and it's always been the case that customers complained about it. The fact is, tats have always been an aesthetic that the poor and disenfranchised favorited, especially as a mark of rebellion or empowerment, and people who were wealthier and more educated eschewed. That's the main reason strippers have always had tats (they've always come from less-educated poorer backgrounds, and more often in need of an empowerment statement given the rest of their lives), and is still the main reason strippers have tats, and will continue to be the main reason strippers are more likely to have tats even after the current fad passes and overprivileged kids stop getting them.

The difference w/ gen-y is that tats have become more acceptable among the more educated and privileged; it remains to be seen whether this is a fad that will blow over, or if tats have crossed over. Tats immediately give to me an impression of low class and poor judgement, but obviously enough, that's becoming less and less true.

Anyway, to re-iterate: the acceptance of tattoos among the middle class and above is definitely generational. But there's nothing remotely generational about strippers and tats -- they come from a background that's always had tats.

I don't come from a background that's always loved tats. My grandma hated them and was pissed when my aunt surprisingly got one on her boob (at least I think she did). My mom's mom and aunt are all very traditional. My mom had one tat that she got back in like 99, but it's high enough on her arm/bicep that you usually can't see it. My dad, his parents, and all his siblings are very traditional and none have tattoos as far as I know. I'd be surprised. Some of my cousins have a few small ones but nothing overboard.

My mom recently, when she was in her late 40s, got a couple more modest tattoos but she was actually a little influenced by my sister and I and the younger generation in general. I myself have three. None are placed very conspicuously. I'd never get the side of my neck or my chest or something like that tatted. I just love getting tattoos and want more but I'll wait until I'm absolutely sure. It's funny how much I hate needles but love tats and used to have like 15 piercings.

    Flagooner summarized it well.

I've gotten so used to them that I look past them. To the extent it was ever a matter of trying to stand out or seek empowerment or whatever, it's long since lost that effect on conveying that message to others. I guess maybe the person getting the tat feels something positive about it, I don't know.

I basically agree with everything Subraman said. Strippers are usually thought of as a marginalized group of people, and people on the margins of Western society have been getting tattoos for hundreds of years. Many strippers have sex for money, do drugs, drink heavily, get pregnant as teenagers, and some have criminal records. But even if they're clean as a whistle, let's be honest, they still take their clothes off on stage for strangers. That's exactly the kind of person you would expect to have tattoos.

Personally, I love how tattoos look on a woman. The more the better. It's a huge turn-on for me. I'm not thrilled with ear gauges or vaginal piercings (they hurt when they click against your teeth LOL), but tattoos are hot. Subraman said: "Tats immediately give to me an impression of low class and poor judgement... ." Well, that's exactly what I'm looking for when I go to a club. Low class and poor judgement.

Having said that, if they were to ask my advice, I would tell strippers not to get tats. The older generation doesn't seem to like them and, at least for now, that's where the money is.

Love them. Always a fan if women with a full sleeve. Except keep them off hands, neck, face, and tits, they don't look good on anyone there.

I can understand a couple of small tats but the number and size of tats boggles my mind.
Do these kids not understand what a large tat will look like in 30 years when they are 50+?? Or do they not expect to live that long? I met a dance who had her kids faces (big) tattooed on her sides. If she gained any weight the tats would be distorted. I met a dancer that had a beautiful tattoo of Spiderman web swinging that started with the web around one shoulder and the rest all the way down her side onto her hip with the tat's feet onto her stomach. She had others but that was the largest. What happens if this early 20 year old decide to have a kid. Ole Spidey is gonna look like ole saggy!
Small tats ok but huge tats I'll never understand. Guess I'm just old

After reading that last BurlingtonHoFactory post - I remembered a comment from a buddy who was looking to pick up civilian girls. He would target civilian girls who had questionable tattoos because he believed they were prone to making poorly thought out decisions - that they would soon regret.

B-Ho-->"Subraman said: "Tats immediately give to me an impression of low class and poor judgement... ." Well, that's exactly what I'm looking for when I go to a club. Low class and poor judgement."

I have to admit that it sometimes has that effect on me, too. While I'd always prefer no tats, sometimes just the right tat drives me wild, exactly because of the trashy/sexy/poor-judgement connotation. There's this one stripper with amazing legs, who has a tat down each hamstring. Aside from highlighting and drawing attention to her amazing legs and ass, my monkey brain just wants to grab her and fuck the hell out of her. Damn monkey brain.

My Monday morning brain is probably at its least reliable but I'm going to try to tie two thoughts together. With regard to stripper tats, I don't get it from my perspective but I see Subraman's and Burlington's points. From a common (not exclusive) demographic among strippers, it makes some sense.

Then I was reading the NFL anthem thread and here is where my Monday brain might be fucking with me. NFL players are young and rich and they've had the world handed to them as soon as older folks could see that the players were big and fast. But 70 percent of the players are black. The truth is, I have no idea how many of the players are trying to make a thoughtful social statement, whether or not one agrees, and how many are over paid sheep who are trying to virtue signal, at most.

As with many things, sometimes I need to listen more and speak less so I guess I need to give more that to stripper tats and anthem postures. Either that, or I need to get a hot stripper in a club with a game on the TV. It's Monday so I don't know wtf.

i'll still enjoy a otherwise sexy attractive girl with tats. it ain't a deal breaker.
  • Subraman
Well, if any tats were a deal breaker for me, I could barely go SCing ... other than the highest high-end clubs (which are often all-flash vegas-like affairs), very few strippers on any particular shift are completely tat-less. The only tats that tend to be automatic deal-breakers for me are gang- or pimp-associated tats. Too much of a turn-off to look past.

Beyond that, tats just make a girl look less attractive to me. The more tats she has, the more she has to make up for it in other ways. By the time she's got something truly atrocious like a full sleeve or tats along the front or sides of her neck, she better be a 9.5 with an amazing personality and awesome mileage, or else I"m happy to let ime have her :). But every one of my top 5 ATFs has had at least a few small tats ... there's just so few girls who don't

^^^ I have had some pretty hot girls from SA who were tat-less. Which makes sense to me, with the increased percentage of more highly educated women, you also get far more women who don't have tats. Of course, there is a huge mix of women on SA, from college girls to working escorts, so you can find anything.

I agree that if we disqualified girls because of tats in a strip club we would never get any dances.

However, my ATF was tat free. One of the only dancers I'd ever met without at least a small tattoo. Seems everyone has them now.

I stopped asking them. The answer was always that the tat itself and the placement had some personal or mystical meaning.
I prefer inkless but that is rare to find these days. Even the 18 year olds girls have a few

My two latest CFs and ATF all have tats.

    In my book,
Favs aren't all about the physical appearance, and tats obviously aren't deal killers though I prefer none.

I see some strippers and think WTF was she thinking. But it's just different strokes for different folks. People like what they like

Tats only bother me when they're excessive or if they are very large

My CF only has one and it's not that big. Besides that one, she has clean skin. And she's Latina, too :-)
