One of the posts on the resurrected hand sanitizer / rubbing alcohol thread suggested coating your pubic area with neosporin. I have one question about that: really?
After all, we have dipping your dick in listermint as an option. Isn't that better?
I'm curious to find out if these "treatments" are taking place in the club (in a bathroom stall... hopefully) or at home.
Because I'm thinking that unless you rent an apartment across the street from your favorite club (#PLoftheyear), then by the time you get home you've likely got whatever it is you might be afraid of catching.
Alternately, there's a bunch of you guys lacquering your bits & bobs in a men's room stall. I guess that's fine, but I'll be a little bit more careful about slipping on whatever you slop onto the tiles.
Neosporin lol. Research out of England indicates that there are more germs on the steering wheel of a person's care than in the public toilet and yet ppl use the drive through and shove them germs in their mouth.
LOL! Like the follow up post. Thought I'd add some of the medical info:
What is Neosporin (bacitracin, neomycin, and polymyxin B topical)?
Bacitracin, neomycin, and polymyxin B are antibiotics that kill bacteria on your skin.
Bacitracin, neomycin, and polymyxin B topical (for the skin) is a combination medicine used as a first aid antibiotic to prevent infections in minor cuts, scrapes, or burns on your skin.
Started using triple antibiotic after spending time with a well known NJ-based, lubed BBHJ queen. When I did the math, realized she must jack off 40-50 guys a day in their pants, and never does any type of dick check. She uses hand sanitizer wipes, but I'm not sure how effective those are for killing germs.
Heh, the multiple threads on this topic have been one of those conversations where I feel like you look dopey, no matter what you say :) That said, I'm happy to look dopey as well. Some quick thoughts:
- Bacteria: if you used a condom, then it's likely you're just plain safe. Even if for some reason you managed to get some of the bacteria that causes (say) syphilis on your public area, to my limited knowledge, you can't catch syphilis that way. Just go home and shower. Neosporin kills bacteria, not viruses, so not much use in any case. If you didn't use a condom, well, that changes things I suppose
- Viruses: Viruses CAN be caught by mere contact, and even if you used a condom, you can catch HPV or herpes just by mere contact somewhere on your scrotum or pubis. I have no idea how effective it is after sex, or how quickly you'd need to use it, but as a general rule, isopropyl alchol IS incredibly effective at killing these viruses outside the body, nearly on contact. Whether or not it's worth wiping down your junk with iso, I'll leave as an exercise for the reader :) :)

For cuts I like to use Windex.
