For myself I would avoid them, and I have. People have talked about extremely restrictive rules in dealing with them. No interest in them myself.
But some have written that at clubs where they cut the songs, they usually don't when these features are there. And also, when the features are there, the house dancers might not have much to do.
A feature-dancer appearance is usually a pretty-controlled setting - i.e. they rarely mingle and walk around the club like a regular dancer - the feature usually just performs on stage and gets pictures taken w/ fans or she sells stuff - many don't don't do dances or they may be very expensive
We have a club up here in Detwaa, called Club Venus, it's a dive on Detroit's far West side, it's the bar next to the now closed Victory Inn. They used to have feature dancers and yeah, usually they just do a stage show and sells stuff after. Once though, this porn star feature gave me some very high mileage dancers back in the VIP for the usual price. I don't think they do the feature dancer thing anymore.
Cherokee D' Ass was at a small black club down here in Miami about 2 years ago - I went out of curiosity but it was a waste of time - she showed up past 2 a.m. on a damn WEEKNIGHT - was dressed normal like a civvy (not even sexily dressed) - she came in and just sat in a corner w/ club staff around her and all one could do is go up to her and say hello and take a pic with her (I didn't approach her) - after about 30 or 40 minutes I asked a bouncer if he knew if she was gonna get on-stage or give dances and he said he didn't know - it was late so I bailed and IDK if she ever subsequently did anything but the whole thing while I was there was pretty-underwhelming.
I've had a few interact with me a lot more than I expected. A long time ago in a small nude club, they did dances same price as regular dancers.
I don't want stuff splashed on me, I don't want my shirt ripped open. I don't usually want to be asked to go on stage.
I have some pictures of nude porn stars sitting on my lap somewhere. I miss seeing nude dancers.
I think the club girls get friendlier when there's a feature dancer violating their turf. Have your momentary fave sit with you and trade snarky comments about the feature dancer. The feature dancers seem to look down their noses at the club girls, God knows why; can't have been all that long since they were working the pole, right? Respect your roots, bitch.
Feature dancers were a big thing in S. Fla back in the 90s. The only one I remember that allowed any interaction was Devon Michaels. I remember her specifically because it was so unexpected, and she was very generous with what she allowed.
Saw Dani Daniels. No bodyguard. Private dance, which I got, was $100 for her + $25 for the house. Every time I get a private dance, the handler looks at me as though I were crazy for handing him the money. I think it's worth it, though, at least once, to say you had private time with a famous pornstar to whom you've defiled your keyboard and to get to chat with them a little. So far I've had Alexis Texas, Gianna Michaels (my atf woman in the history of the universe), and now Dani Daniels.
I've had mixed results. If the pornstar retired, then tried to unretire some years later, she will be amazing in VIP (possible OTC leads remember). If the pornstar is currently famous, they are a mini-paris hilton or kardashian. If your pornstar seems to have never been at AVN or Exxxotica and did only a couple shoots then retired, that is just a regular stripper who dabed in porn.
I tend to skip clubs when a feature is there. Cover is usually higher, so that is the first downside. Clubs are usually more crowded, but the customers there aren't getting dances so many of the dancers are in a bad mood. Songs are often shorter, and often dances are a lot more tamer due to the bouncers paying more attention. Most features shows are lame. Lap dances are often way too expensive, and lame.
There were a few exceptions who give a very entertaining show and very good dancers.
Tabitha Jordan, who I lucked out and got a dance from her when she was featuring under the name Haley Hill, before she quit after being ripped off by several club managers. She started out as a stripper, and knew how to give a lap dance. Two song minimum for only Her price was only $10 higher than the clubs dance price. Each additional song was only $5 higher than the club's price.
Sunset Thomas, early in her career, years before she appeared on Cathouse, at a dive club. Minimum of three songs for the came price as a clubs dance, which was $20 a song. Lots of extras. Saw her 5 years later after her "fame" went to her head, and she was completely different. Wanted $100 for two songs. Next year she completely flaked out and quit after one show.
Victoria Paris. $75 for 15 minutes. Same as the clubs regular price..
Devon Michaels. $100 for 15 minutes. Which was cheaper than the club's price. No extras, but great lap dance skills.
I noticed big bouncers or guys with many feature entertainers for their own personal security.
That wasn't always the case. I think I'm going to look for some feature entertainer old pics of dancers sitting on my lap to see if anyone is famous.
My "etiquette" for feature dancers has mostly been to ignore them in favor of the local girls, at least half of whom are hotter than the feature, and all of whom are irritated that the feature is getting the lion's share of the attention and money. Most of even the hot ones will settle for the fat, ugly, creepy old pervert who's actually paying them some attention, and money.
Never visited a club in order to see a feature dancer. I've seen a few though and always easily avoided contact with them due to spending time with a local dancer. And without exception at least one if not multiple local dancers were more attractive than the feature.
The only feature dancer I even remember anything about is one I saw at the HiLiter in Phoenix of all places. She had tremendous skill on stage working the stripper pole. She was impressive.
Only porn star I've ever met was in a high end adult store where she held a seminar and then stayed for pictures. Unknown to me one of the other customers, a female, told the porn star it was my birthday and I got as much mileage as possible standing up, in public, with our clothes on!

They love that shit.
I guess feature dancers aren't *all* bad. :)
