  Well thank you we appreciate the warning. The girl in the photos looks pretty hot, was it the same person that answered the door that's in those photos?
  
  Usually when using Backpage the photos are of someone hot like Kim Kardashian but then when you go to the hotel the real person looks more like Rosie O'Donnell.

  You're a rookie - getting ripped-off on Backpage is as common as rain in Seattle and why most experienced mongers do not bother w/ Backpage and prefer a review-site like TheEroticReview.com where providers are reviewed by customers.
  
  One is taking a risk going to a provider's hotel room b/c you don't know who else is there - better to have your own room and have her meet you at your hotel - and you never pay upfront; it's bad-practice b/c once she has your $$$ she can do or not do as she pleases.
  
  Meeting a Backpage chick at her hotel site/provider unseen has a fairly high failure rate - that's why many on here prefer to hit the strip-clubs since you kinda get to know the girl for a bit and once you establish a rapport w/ her over a couple of visits you can try to set up something outside the club (OTC) although you can also get ripped off that way if you don't know what you are doing.

  I've read countless stories over the years on escort message boards where a 'john' goes to the hotel room door, and wakes up in the emergency room because when he went to enter the door someone came up from behind him and conked him over the head, cause him to get black out and get robbed.

  Make sure the term "full service" is clearly understood by the provider. This can be tricky (LOL) b/c of imposter LE. Try to avoid paying $150 for a HJ like I did. (FS was an extra $400)

  I ALWAYS trace the phone number before I contact any sex worker. If it has a name and it's a big black guy, I'm taking a pass. I expect to either find Google links to a lot of escort adds, or I expect to find just a city as it's a burner phone.
  
  Both my ex-ATF and last CF have their actual names....which makes me think neither did much OTC and they certainly couldn't have give out their numbers to too many customers!

  Hey, if someone posts a phone # in a public forum, they lose any pretense for privacy. If Thomas Snowton wants to not be associated with an escort/scam artist, he sould NOT put his phone # on BP.

  Service providers aren't allowed to lie or scam in any way. You should take your receipt to her pimp. He'll gladly refund your money.
