In a brilliant place!

I may have asked this before, but I don't think I've every seen a solid answer. Does he just advocate making it clear that you have money to spend and are willing to spend it? For example, by wearing a nice suit. If so, that doesn't seem too ridiculous. I suppose it could be dangerous to make it obvious that you have money in certain neighborhoods, but appearing to sufficiently wealthy to make it worth a girl's time isn't crazy. It's certainly more sane than my joke system of "hey baby, want to meet my wiener dog and frogs?" I always thought there was something more to rickdugan's "the system" than that. Plus, he seems a bit focused on saving what seem like trivial amounts of money in some of his posts. And he always talks about problems like having a girl with warrants in his car while he's driving drunk. That seems both non-brilliant and a bit low rent. Not really consistent with a system based on appearing classy. I suspect Dougster will just use this as an opportunity to rip on rickdugan, which is fine. But I am genuinely curious if rickdugan every suggested a system and, if so, what that system actually is. I suspect other people who haven't been posting for as long as Dougster will be interested as well. I'll decide whether or not to be amused, impressed, appalled, or indifferent after I know what "the system" is!

Oh it's real, alright! Someone needs to dig up the original post. We al could stand to review the system before heading out to the club.

There is a link to it in SJG's profile page. (Scroll down or search for "magnum opus"). What, you all don't real profile pages? SJG's is brilliant and chok full links and reads like the Unabomer manifesto. Good stuff. Thanks SJG!

No one really knows for sure what it is. It's an enigma. Kind of like Sasquatch, Juice boxes and honest strippers. No one is quite sure if it's real or not.

The System was posted when I was a lot more of a newbie. But even then I could tell that it was a system for idiots.

RickyBoy's The System (in all its complete faggity glory): [view link] Important things notice: a) how self conscious RickyBoy is when he is the club; monitoring and obsessing over ever little thing he does b) how RickyBoy thinks he "can't compete" in downtown business districts so sticks to dive clubs (a parallel to his real life) c) how he thinks you even need a System to pay a hooker for sex d) how he thinks he has made a discovery which is Nobel Prize worthy e) his paranoia that he is going to get in trouble for being the Prometheus who let this one out to the world f) his emphasis that you mustn't go there looking for love (he obviously got burned more than a few times) g) his constant emphasis on lying (e.g. about your job) and "projecting an image" versus actually just being yourself and relaxing. He thinks he has to put on act just to pay a hooker for sex It was a real self revealing piece from him because it was before he knew he should be more guarded about his real thoughts on things. He got slam dunked for it zillions of times, however, and now tries to be much more guarded when he posts. Not to mention trying to disavow much of what is in The System (or that there even was a System itself) even though it's all there in black and white. Enjoy!

My cliff note version of what I remember. Dress up in a 3 piece suit like an old corny computer game called leisure suit Larry. Spend a lot of money in the club on a stripper over several visits. After spending thousands, ask her if she would like to go out with you, you pay of course. Eventually sex could happen if you are lucky. The system the way I remember it. Some claim success. Others laugh at the system.

System for idiots? It only works if you do it the right way! 60% of the time, it works every time when I implement it.

You could go with Jestrite math: if you exclude the times it doesn't work, it works 100% of the time! And since it should be implicit that you would exclude the times it doesn't work, just say it works 100% of the time!

Talking about The System is mostly just a way of making fun of its author. But there is a great deal of sense to it: 1. Meeting your girls f2f at strip clubs, instead of calling escort ads. You get a better girl that way, less problems with pimp-boyfriends. But also, you get a chance to build some rapport with her first. 2. Not letting girls sell you dances, as that is a chump's game. And 'extras', or ejaculation services, that is just the wrong way to go about it. Now the brilliant author of The System, has made an addendum to it. In some clubs it is better to do some dances with the girl, just to make a good impression. But you don't want to deplete your funds so that your OTC offer will not be attractive. These are the good points of The System (tm). The negative points are that you are not engaging in front room GFE. That is the only real way to know that you've got a girl who is open to you. And then Mr. Dugan does not want to know the girls. All he wants is that brief hotel room encounter. So he doesn't want to maximize the ITC action, and then continue in the hotel, and overnight, and beyond. SJG I guess it is Greg Lake who does this singing. Anyone here able to sing like that? Although I recognize that "the system" has largely become an opportunity to rip on rickdugan I was genuinely interested in whether "the system" was something real in the sense that it could be traced back to a specific post or posts or just something attributed to rickdugan by Dougster (or somebody else). "The system" does seem a bit overthought. Then again, that is rickdugan's style. "Now to the meat of the matter" made me laugh! It's aces if you ask me! To be fair to rickdugan he does spin a brilliant tale. I've never known whether it was complete fiction, some truth with quite a bit of exaggeration, or completely true. I doubt I'll ever suss that out, though I will say that I suspect exaggeration.

rickdugan's part about foregoing nudity for liquor, quoted by san_jose_guy, is disturbing given all of the non-brilliant comments about DUI. If the sole reason is the "pervy" vibe of no-liquor clubs then that is reasonable. Though I kind of like pervy! Pervy = ace! But rickdugan seems a bit more focused on liquor than is healthy. :(

Mostly The System (tm) is about setting up same night motel OTC, instead of using escort ads. In that sense it is good. And it is about declining to let girls sell you dances, ejaculation services. But the down side is that strip clubs are about See, Want, Get. You should get the girl dressed and painted up just as you first spotted her. You will only get one first time with that girl. So I say, take it. See her outside after, but don't pass up that first ITC opportunity. I think though Dugan is talking about softer core clubs, places that don't do FS-ITC. Also, there is a difference in gently teasing someone, as opposed to just endless pointless trolling. SJG

san_jose_guy, I agree that there is a difference between teasing somebody and endless pointless trolling. This thread wasn't intended to troll rickdugan. I was genuinely curious about the history of his "the system". Regardless, I really don't have interest in trolling rickdugan. He claimed at one point that he put me on ignore after I criticized one of his posts. So I presume that he doesn't see this. actually wrote a civil and interesting response to one of my posts but despite that I think he still has me on ignore. Not sure why he responded if that's true but that is his choice. I'm not going to say anything one way or another about folks who are trolling. If people want to troll they can. If the trolling bores me I put folks on ignore. Have only done that twice. Don't know if the folks that trolled me still troll me. Don't care. I have them on ignore.
