Detroit strip clubs

The newspeople don't seem to see anything funny about this story.

There's already a strip club called Heart Beats on Avenue A, just a short distance off Dickman Road, plus another on the east side of town. This little burg can't support a third strip club anyway. Dickman -- heh, heh.

Dickman rd sounds like a place SJG would like, probably has many MAMPs offering BFE.

Car dealerships should welcome strip clubs. I remember 12+ years ago when I was in Columbia SC and the clutch in my truck died. It was a labor intensive job. The Ford dealer took me to the Platinum Plus to wait. It was early afternoon and the only other customer there was also having his car fixed at another car dealership.

I like how the author of the article used the word "dickman" as much as possible. Maybe they do get the humor but just can't admit it.

The telling last two sentences:

"The issue was expected to go before the City Commission for a final vote next Tuesday.

Dearing tells us instead it will happen sometime in October, to give the city more time to review zoning rules and the ordinance as a whole."

Strip clubs on Dickman are probably just a smoke screen to make tweaks to the zoning rules that would be unpopular otherwise or more blatantly, they are probably doing something to benefit a major contributor with those tweaks and need a way to rationalize their actions to the community at large.

The dealerships don't want their employees going there for lunch.
