At my favorite club I know dancers that will do either. Some times I just don't see any dancer that I really want to spend $150 on in VIP but I don't want to go home with blue balls either. When that happens I'll sometimes let one of them jerk me off at the table and tip them another $20.

One friend said that the HJ sounded like a better deal to him. What do you think?

I would almost always choose the $150 BJ. I did once get an unsolicited HJ under the table at Sugar's Uptown Cabaret in Austin. I gave her $20 and bounced since my visit had ended unexpectedly early :)
