Foul, foul !! I've known several dachsunds who were even tempered. Next we'll be saying everyone should have Pit Bulls for pets.

In this time of death and instability we should look to out canine friend to see what a creature capable of unconditional love is like. ;)

I've said it before, I'll say it again.

No one breed is suited to every owner. People should consult the breed rescue dog page before adopting a pet, they should know what habits a given breed has that may make the breed unsuitable for them.

Also, not all dogs are socialized to children and children and pets should be supervised together when first getting used to each other.

Little 4got is curled up at near feet just being a good dog right now. He is lying down on the bathmat he stole from the bathroom in my guest room but he does that all the time and never chews it up! What could be more ace?

If you go back far enough info the Dachshund's history you will find they werethey were traditionally used to maim and kill badgers and other burrowing animals.
