The cities like (IMO) to play tricks with zoning rules to either prevent new clubs from opening or to coerce existing clubs to close up shops. So the city in this story gets no pity from me. Kudos to the sc (to be) owner. We need more like him to stand up to these NIMBY types. Fuck 'em
Placing clubs in industrial and commercial areas vs neighborhoods IMO is a good compromise but many cities seem to be 100% anti-SCs anywhere - it's not as if the clubs are gonna be giving dances outside where passers-by can see or windows where passers-by can see what's going-on - everything is behind closed-doors b/w consenting adults yet that is not good enough for many of the powers-to-be.

last commentCook County, IL has a suit in court now to allow alcohol at the nude clubs. I didn't hear if it was resolved yet. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
