I guess this guy hasn't been on TUSCL and seen the advice to always lock your valuables in the safe when doing OTC. Granted she was a civi and not a stripper but he still should have known better since he sounded surprised she liked him.

Best quote from the story: 'I told her (his wife) 99 percent of the truth. I told her [Vanegas] was a stripper we brought back to the room for my brother-in-law.'

I'm sure she'll appreciate reading in the paper that he told her 99% of the truth, what's the 1% he didn't tell her? That whole line is complete BS though because if he told her she was a stripper they brought back to the room that is completely different than the version he told police and the newspaper.

I also don't think the accused woman is anything special. With some makeup though she might look a lot better.

I thought she looked pretty good in the photo. It's a morning after photo - no make up - and it's possibly a mug shot. I'm sure she looks pretty impressive under some good club lighting -

I tend to think some guys get Rolex watches to flash around at clubs - and that's when they become easy marks for scammers. Rolexes and bachelor parties are a bad mix.

This guy has a lot of explaining to do! When you make a comment like that - and it's published - your wife will find it - and it won't be pretty!

This story was posted a while ago in the Sun Sentinel and the Nikki Beach Club is a high end night spot on South Beach not a strip club

I'm sure that Rolex will make him a mark in a night club too. I'm sure girls scout those clubs for drunk tourists who spend a lot and who have expensive jewelry.

I have a nice collection of very well made fake Rolex watches from Thailand. I don't wear any watch at all so I never wear one to the club, but maybe I'll get more action if I do? If it gets stolen it's no big deal!

Another one bites the dust. That must have been a fun scene explaining to the wife.

I've had two dancers come off the stage to tell me that the second hand wasn't working on my watch. I showed one of them how the chronograph works - and that showed me just how much some women notice men's watches.

Cashman, I'd be curious if they could spot my Oyster as a fake. It's well made, and the second hand ticks twice a second like a real Oyster. It even keeps good time! Since I don't have real one to compare, maybe there's some way to easily tell it's a fake? I also have a Gucci watch...with Chinese writing on it! That one screams "fake".

I wear my Fitbit on a daily basis and my Apple Watch on the weekends. I'd wear the Apple Watch daily but it's awefully bulky.

I have a Rolex that was given to my as a gift. It's in a safe deposit box. I wore it a few times but got sick of everyone asking me if it was real or fake. If I were to buy an expensive watch today - I'd buy a Bret. or a UBoat.

Rock you may have a fake that looks pretty good but I guarantee you any one with a real oyster will be able to tell its fake immediately I bet the real one which I own weighs at least 3 X as much. My everyday watch is a Baume & Mercier with a leather bracelet and most of the time it goes undetected except for folks that really know quality watches and I like it that way.

The only time I wear a watch is when I go to a strip club because they are about the only places that don't have any clocks. And I wear an inexpensive one that was given to me as a Christmas present by my ATF 2 years ago. I don't take my smart phone into the clubs so I need a watch to tell me when it is time to leave.

I threw my Rolex in the trash when I bought my Patek Philippe.

Rockstar666 - I'd be curious to see if they notice - and what sort of comments/compliments you get. That would be a very interesting test of your watch - and of the strippers ability to spot a watch!

Twentyfive - I'm sure real watch aficionados would know a fake right away. The weight is a definite giveaway. I was thinking of the simple test of a strippers laser vision when spotting a potential whale.

CAshman: Yes, it's heavy but still on the light side I suspect. It came with a box and wax tag too. My FIL got it for me; I bet he paid $20 at least in Bangkok, which is a lot there. And yes, he's Thai so he knows they're fake.

Rockstar666 - I think they make some great fakes. They are much more appropriate in terms of cost. If I'm close to 1000 feet under water - I'm not going to be thinking about what time it is.

I stopped wearing my omega sea master because it always needed winding. I'm happy with a watch that's less than $50 -

Not bad for a mug shot. Honey probably cleans up real nice.

Stories like that are pretty common down here in the Miami and Ft Lauderdale area which have high-end party-spots and also a good # of tourists.

I give the PL kudos for having the balls to confront the bitch and not be a pussy.

The fake Rolex should attract strippers very well, but to gain the maximum effect, you should wear it alongside your white polyester 3-piece suit!

When I was in Miami Beach on vacation a couple years ago with the wife, I briefly considered going to SCs thinking the Miami ones would probably be better than the Cleveland ones, since Miami is a popular city. But all of the online Yelp and Google reviews weren't so good. I didn't know about TUSCL back then.

I talked to a couple cabbies down there, and they recommended the same thing I saw on Yelp: (which is probably BS) that the SCs are all full of unattractive immigrants from Central and South America, and that all of the attractive women all go to the night clubs to make no money, since there's no money in Miami SCs. So, okay, plausible, so I buy into it.

The wife and I go to the Night Club at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel, the 'LIV'. Big mistake. There were lot of young, hot women. So that part is correct. But many of the women were militant, and clearly working. The vibe of the competition (cattiness) from the women was so intense and off putting, that my wife had an anxiety / panic attack and had to leave. She said she felt like a "hick" or a "farmer's girl" there, which is where she grew up.

Honestly, she and I would have liked the SCs better!

So I definitely believe a tourist could find a real predator working at one of those Miami night clubs. For sure!

^militant is the wrong word. I should have used MERCENARY. Many of those women more closely resembled strippers or escorts than the civilians they posed as. Those waters were clearly shark infested.

talk about poor decisions. Not hot enough for a view of his luxury hotel. If she really wanted to smash, he should have did her in the bathroom and left. But glad the gentleman got his watch back. Too bad he had to explain to the Mrs.

Estafador: Unfortunately I was kidding about having any for sale, but if you spend 10 days-2 weeks in Thailand (Bangkok mostly for the phony goods) not only will your fuck amazingly beautiful women all day and night for $50-100 a day (or for the cost of a shopping trip if you have game), but you can stock up on counterfeit watches, women's purses, shoes, etc. for a song and become a smuggler/entrepreneur for a very low investment.

Or...you can just sell me whatever extra you have available. I'm not THAT interested that I'd go ALL the way to Thailand just for phonies. That and I don't like skinny women. Philippines is WAY better lol

Sorry but I'm not a dealer in illegal watches. Trust me..a week in Thailand will make you forget about whatever it costs. I've never been to the Philippines but I had a Filipino FWB and she was the 2nd best FWB ever. I didn't love her, but I really liked her! People who know rate Thailand equal or no worse than second to the Philippines so I'm not about to argue!!
