Today at work

Thursday, January 14, 2016 5:26 PM
I work at a restaurant that's basically known for its underdressed female staff so I'm fairly used to sexual comments/questions/attempts at pick ups, but today was new for me. I can't serve because I'm 18 and to handle liquor here you have to be 19 so I'm a hostess and tonight this guy who is frequently here with his buddies (probably in his late 40s) came up to me and asked why "a girl like me wasn't serving him" (complaining about his waitress basically) I explained the reason and he told me that I should work for him as a "private dancer" and went on to explain that it was a common thing, and far different from being an escort (i accused him of looking for one) and that he would set me up with "high status" clients that I would dance for for an already agreed amount of money and it would involve 0 sex. He said because I'd be guaranteed to make atleast 1k any night I worked that he would get a small cut for introducing me. Me and this guy have talked for a while and because he's for the most part a stranger I did tell him my secret wish to dance while in school while complaining about my current job but not that I'm moving to Florida or any details really. He seems fairly honest (not necessarily a great guy though) so I'm wondering if he really means what he says or he's just trying to pimp me out. Any ideas? Thanks in advance :-) xo

The older you get the more you realize the worth of the old saying “if it's too good to be true it probably is”

    True that!

Sounds shady to me I cant speak for anyone else but I wouldn't spend a thousand for a night with any woman without getting exactly what I want the way I want it. If I were you and didn't want to get pimped out I'd cut bait and beat it far away from this dude.

If you do go his route, be sure someone knows you are going to where and with who - take a picture of his drivers license and leave the picture with someone. Girls have gone missing from gigs like this.

Yeah I was thinking that too. I'm young but not entirely naive, just a bit inexperienced. To me the idea of stripping- a job where I don't have to wear pants that I'm being paid to tease and seduce older men at sounds too good to be true so not always! Lol. (Yes I know there's cons to most things including stripping)

99% chance the dude is a douche and at best a very-good salesman only telling-you all the upside (which is probably bullshit) and no downside; he's basically telling-you what you want to hear to reel you-in – he has decades of experience over you and knows just what to tell girls like you. You don't need no “middle-man” to get $$$ from men if you are an attractive girl. $1k w/o sex – c'mon – in a perfect world maybe and the world is far from perfect. I'd say stay away from him; you don't know what this guy is about – most pimps are EXPERTS at playing the sweet game then their true colors come-out. I'd day stick to dancing and be your own boss – you don't want no “middle-man”.

I'm not really considering his offer because he lives in my hometown and for certain reasons I need to get faaaar far away. I'm more so curious if a.) this guys a pimp and b.) If "private dancing" is an actual thing :-)

“... If "private dancing" is an actual thing ...” How many girls do you know that have benefited from this awesome incredible opportunity – it's BS – what he's telling you is what all girls hear and get told.

He sounds pretty shady to me. If I were you I would stay far, far away.

Listen to Papi_Chulo on this one little lady. He just gave you good advice.

It sounds he's playing-you – dangling the big-$$$ carrot in front of you and sorta seducing you that way.; IMO; you are being played. And AFAIK; whenever there is a middle-man/agency involved; it often takes a big-chunk if not the majority of the earnings (assuming it's legit and I doubt he is).

Oops, I'm sorry if I came off as ungrateful for papi's advice, I'm definitely not. Thank you papi, I'm sure you're right about him. Hooters-where I work, is basically home to douchebags so it wouldn't be surprising, lol. :-)

Id say he is shady and if anything means yeh sure not at first sex will be involved but later he would expect you to and basically wants to pimp you out to whoever.-_- Id stay far away from those kind of guys

You say you are not naïve, just inexperienced, trust me on only this one thing, this guy is selling dreams you really don't want to be the buyer, the only dream you will end up with is his and you wont know what to do or how to get away from him, because he will have an answer for anything you say, and an action to counter any move you make cut him loose immediately before you get sucked into something way beyond your experience or ability to control.

“... I'm sorry if I came off as ungrateful for papi's advice ...” You weren't coming off that way – what I say is not gospel nor what you should do – the decision is only yours to make – what we say here is not a commandment but for you to take it as information in making your decision.

He's a pimp. Private parties can exist, but most of these dudes will want sex.

Okay, So you work at Hooters and a guy asked you to be a private dancer. Deja Vu????? Strongly suggest you read this. Supposedly parts of this story are actually true: [view link]

Sounds like some good advice so far. He definitely sounds shady. If he comes around again ask him what sex position makes the ugliest babies. When he doesnt know ask him if you can call his mom and find out

If you dont want to say that, no worries. I will handle him Crazyjoe style if necessary. I got your back

Shailynn- Lmao! I read that entire thread (an accomplishment for me because Although i <3 reading, long winded stories online bother me-I've yet to even read a whole discussion by SJG) and the way she told the story was hilarious, she later posted "proof" saying that it was all correct but i remember wondering how she could re call all that. I think most girls who work at Hooters can agree that tiny orange shorts seem to bring out some nutters, so I'm not surprised she works there- if she does. But yeah, hahah I definitely don't think I'd ever travel with someone who I didn't know for so far a distance, that's just asking for trouble!

crazyjoe style - that's when crazyjoe emails this guy 5,500 emails about Bangladesh Movers and Packers. anongirl98, which Hooters do you work at. Although I am not a douche (at least I don't think so) I frequent the Hooters near YYZ a good bit when I travel for work. Not many dining options in that area.

Hey, my post deleted... "Although I <3 reading, I hate long winded online shpiels-I've yet to even get through on of SJGs whole post :-$) but yeah it was super funny the way she told the story and supposedly she posted "proof" after claiming it was all true but how could someone recall all those details?? Lol. Any hooters girl can agree that tiny orange shorts seem to bring out some nutjobs, so I'm not surprised she worked there, hahahah. But yeah I would definitely not travel so far with someone I didn't no, that's just asking for trouble!

I think she later posted "proof" claming it was all accurate but how could she remember those details?? I'm sure any hooters girl can agree that tiny orange shorts bring out the nut jobs so I'm not surprised she worked there! I would never ever travel with someone I didn't know for work, she's living on the edge lol

And I live in Canada, Florida is where I plan to work but it's a location in Toronto :-)
  • shailynn

Yes I knew you lived in Canada, that's why I referenced the YYZ Hooters, and if that's the one, yeah the service usually sucks there. Stay out of Florida, unless you get on LMNs payroll.

You sure don't want to dance in Toronto? If Drake sees you in the strip club, he will probably write a song about you. Drake loves writing songs about girls, and he loves strippers. He even named one of his tours after the strip club "Club Paradise" in Toronto.

I have a friend who lives in Florida and I was planning on moving there for college anyways, dancing is just secondary! Lol yes I am, I was born in Montreal but lived here (Toronto) all my life, Canada is big in landmass but small in opportunities. Minus the free health care I won't miss it here! I'm more of a Pink Floyd type of gal, drakes never done it for me, although I wouldn't mind a song! Lol ;-)

anongirl: Pink Floyd gal, eh? "Oooh, I need a dirty woman! Oooh, I need a dirty girl!" Yes, absolutely: Run far, far away from this douchebag. And Pink Floyd is much, much, much better music than Drake.

This guy wants to pimp you out. A bad deal for you, a good deal for him. Try stripping. In the club you can control how much you will do and what you want to be paid.

Yup, I second what everybody else said. Pimpish piece of shit, that's who he is. You will definitely run into guys like that in strip-clubs, so be careful, please. Personally I worked at private/bachelor parties during summer. It was a year ago, in small town, on the weekends only. Company was legit, i.e. no shady shit was allowed to go on at these parties. I averaged like 300-600$ per night. I know that one can make way more but again, it was a small town. 1k per weekend night doing private parties is possible. Every single night? I doubt so. And owners of these companies hardly approach strange girls to recruit them.

Its just the beginning of him trying to introduce you to something deeper. 1k for dancing.... I wouldn't pay that for any girl just dancing. Most guys by nature want sex at the end of any festivity with a girl.

Obvious pimping is obvious. He has no qualms about lying and I see a few dozen ways he could excuse his lies. For starter, while he says you can't have sex, if clients ask for dances, they might only want repeats or give big bucks if you help them nut. Fuck that guy and keep it legit. Otherwise you may wind up in dubai stripping for pennies on the...dirham? yeah, Dirham.

@Papi “... If "private dancing" is an actual thing ...” How many girls do you know that have benefited from this awesome incredible opportunity – it's BS – what he's telling you is what all girls hear and get told. Every girl that has fucked with me has benefited greatly from private dancing. And she didn't even have to fuck. There's opportunity, just gotta really know your customers beforehand though.

He's a pimp. I've seen his type in clubs here, and it's virtually the same spiel right down to the word. The first couple gigs might be like that, then comes the drugs, and it's never the same. Shoot him. The world will be a better place.
