Am I being a Stuffy Old Guy?

I don't know how old the daughter is, but could it be the other way around? Could she have used her daughter's name as her stage name? If so, she might've done that as a reminder for why she was stripping.

Regardless of who got named first, the dancer or the daughter, it's a bit odd.

I know a stripper who dances under the name of her stepson (the name is used by both genders). It struck me as weird but strippers are usually weird.

I know at least 2 strippers who have done that. I imagine that if I were a stripper, it would be a prime directive to completely separate my stripper and parent worlds, and using my child's name as my stripper name would be out of the question, regardless of the order of which came first, stage name or daughter

Now the question becomes - if she was your ATF and you discovered this would she still be your ATF?

Strippers for the most part are very simple minded...when they look for a name to strip with im sure its much like the Indian lol....i guess we should just be thankful we don't talk about girls named squatting dog or running bear

That said, there's a correlation between popular baby names and stripper names. Madison and Makenzie took off as porn star names.exactly when they took off as baby names.

I have known several dancers whose stage name was their daughters name. One admitted it to me, one had her children's names tattooed on her, and one of the names was her stripper name. A few others I found out just like motorhead when I ran across her facebook page.

Now this got me thinking, somewhere out there, may be a dancers whose children are named Trixie, Ecstasy, Felatio, Seduction, or Irresistible.

My original ATF used her mother's maiden name. No big deal.

Weird, but maybe there is a special meaning behind the name, but still weird.

Most of us think being a stripper is provocative and something most girls would hide from their family, friends and personal life. Most the girls I became close with said their parents, kids and most friends didn't know what they did. Of course some of them said "well this family member and that family member has probably figured it out by now, but we don't talk about it."

On the other hand some strippers treat this as a regular job and some even take great pride in it, so they probably see it as honorable using their stage name Of their kid. In their mind, using their kids name is no different than you having a photo of your kid at your desk at work.

Strippers are not known for heavy thinking. Whatever is quick and convenient works for them.

Dancers often use the name they wish had been put on their birth certificate. So, if they have a daughter, not surprising they use their favorite name for her too.
