Like most of you, I don't like overpriced dances (I think $40 is overpriced). At the same time I would feel uncomfortable paying $5 for a lapdance, I think that's way too low, and it kind of feels like having a business and hiring someone and only paying them minimum wage.
I think $20 dances is my happy medium. In a ideal world for me dances would be $10.
Thoughts?
$5 the songs have to be cut short and that's only in south where everything is cheap. $20 to $30 is a good medium but I will pay $40 if the dancers are hot enough(8+) and its usually in a more private setting at those prices compared to somewhere on the floor in plain view.
I'm certainly happy with the $10 dances at Follies in Atlanta. What gets me is that Babes in Atlanta, a club with $5 dances rates higher than Follies on the TUSCL top 10 for value. Cheap does not equal value.
I absolutely refuse to pay more than $20 for a dance. I'd rather go without.
I hit $5 black-clubs all the time and I feel it's unfair to the dancers.
I think $10 dances are the best for both parties (dancers and PLs) – it's sorta a a low-barrier to entry – i.e. lots of PLs may not think much of investing $10 in a dance but will think harder about it at $20/dance – and at $10/dance many a PL may actually spend more b/c he feels he's getting better value where at $20 he may be more careful pulling the dance trigger.
More often than not; I see wayyyyyy more dances being given/sold in $10 clubs than $20 clubs – so the dancers may actually cum out ahead (and there is always VIP to make extra dough) – thus $10 dances with VIP option IMO is the best “system” for both parties.
$20 to $25 seems to be the normal going rate, and fair as long as the club isn't cutting the songs extremely short (which some do).
As for nicer (non-ghetto) clubs, about the only 2 places I can remember getting quality $10 dances are in Phoenix metro and Montreal.
Perhaps if one is primarily into extras; then LD-cost is not that big an issue; but if one is a serial LD-enjoyer; then at $10 one can enjoy them buffet-style
I'm cool with $25 since it's what I'm mostly used to. It's the going rate in South Florida and at 2001 in Tampa, although I usually get offered the 3-60. There's no chance of me going higher than that, which limits me to Passions when I go to NO.
Most venues in Phoenix are $10. VIP will usually fall in the $20-25 range.
Around here $20 is the going rate and that seems fair to me. I am equally shocked when I here people talking about $5 lapdances and when people talk about $40 lapdances. It seems like at either of those prices someone is getting screwed.
$20 is fine for full length songs, nude LDs.
For bikini dances and 3 min somgs, $10 is better.

Follies and Hi Liter are the two $10 dance clubs that I'm at most often. The girls at those clubs work hard for their $ but I think they make more than at clubs that charge more.
I have no problem with $20 dances which still seems like a reasonable price to me.
I used to pay $30 with some frequency but its much more rare today. I save the big bucks for OTC.
I have paid $40 in the past but not often. A gorgeous redhead might get me to pay that price today but nobody else.

Great example i love cheap lappers so much i devoted a year to find all the $5 spots within my driving range of 400miles one-way North, South, East and West.
I did not take mileage into account i just traveled to any location that was well known for $5 lap dances. I ran into everything from air dances to ultra high mileage. Busted faces, stretch marks and bullet whole bitches Up to DS level 8,9.
What i discovered for my self was number one a true air dance even with a 9 or 10 isn't worth the $5. Shit i could have just tipped on stage.
Second when i did find a club with high mileage with 6,7,8 you know girls i would buy dances from lol. That $5 was like a lot sad to low. A lot of work, satisfaction(no extras), happiness and so forth comes from those kinds of dances. I usually bump it up to $10s

I refuse to pay any dance above a $20 and usually wind up paying $15. That's because i believe $25and up per song should include extras.

In the region I do most of my clubbing in, lap dances are $10 each and while I respect the work and effort the girls put into their dances, that is my preferred price range. VIP dances usually run $20 - $25 each. I really don't like paying more than $10 for LDs on the main floor.
5$ dance is a fucking joke. C'mon, guys. It's United States, not some third-world shithole where such cheap prices would be justified, at least. I would dance for 10$ but it would be bikini, minimum-grinding dance.

The only $5 clubs I've seen have been black clubs in da hood – and yeah – it's f'ing sad and borderline depressing; but such is life in da hood often times.

$30 is too much – means a custy will be out 100 smacks in about 10 minutes – and IMO is counter-productive most times – i.e. most successful businesses flourish by offering good value and thus getting volume; vs trying to get the most out of a few custies.

The problem I have with the $25 and $30 dances is the change. Normally I just have 20 dollar bills, so if I get one 25 or 30 buck dance, of course I will pay 40 bucks and ask for change from the stripper. I'd much rather just be able to pay straight up.
If I'm in a club that has 20 buck dances, I will buy dances from girls if they're hot, but I'm much more selective. In a 10 buck dance club, I imagine I'd be much more willing to take chances on girls, because after all it only costs 10 bucks. This in turn would lead me to spending more on dances in the 10 buck place than the 20 buck place.
Since I hit $5 and $10 spots all the time; I often pay w/ $20s when Im buying anything (coffee; lunch; etc) and then hoard the $5s and $10s for da club.

Ranukam i am getting more selective in who I get dances from so I normally get multiple dances... So I usually end up tipping them the change. If its $25 and I get 3 dances I just give them $80 or $100(the quality of the dance dictates how much I tip them $5 or $25) unless I have 10s or 5s. If its $30 and I get 3, I give them $100 even. I rarely run into this problem of having to ask for change though since I always have smaller bills from the cover charge and drinks.

I'd pay $30 for high mileage dances with 95.
Bottom line, if we want hot dancers who aren't mental, they need to average $400 (net) a night minimum. The dance price to get to that will vary depending on how busy the club is and percentage of freeloaders. Most dancers find the job fairly stressful and working more than 3 shifts a week tends to burn them out.

PT's showclub and PT's Centerfold in Colorado has going rate of $40 per dance with additional $5 or $10 for wrist band to goto dance room. Now one may pay $100 to escort rated 5-8 for quickie of 15 min. ( i.e. cost of two low mileage dance).
Now few smart dancers will say that "Generally I charge $40 but today I am fine with $25"... And you may see only these girls going to dance area frequently with customers.

$30 is just too much and we'd pass every time. The problem is you're going to charge us $60 for a 3 minute dance and the economics of that based on the service we'd be getting is ridiculous. We didn't even get a single dance last weekend because they were $25 and never had a 2 for $40 special all night. Only saw 1 chica we liked (well, 1 I like but mrs sea doesn't like her) but $50 for a single dance is just not something we're going to do. We aren't newbies acting like a deer in headlights or some infatuated loner hoping to go home and whack off to the titties he finally got to see. We're about mileage and variety. $10/dance would be a sweet spot for us. You'd still get $20 for 3 minutes of work and we'd feel a lot better dropping a few hundred $$$. This way we'd get to try out 5-10 diff dancers every time we go. Once we find a dancer we really like we easily drop $$$ on her.
Air dances are a sure fire way of making sure you never get another dime from us.
