Disappointments

I have never had that happen. I have heard of clubs that are regular bars on some nights and a strip club on other nights

Crazyjoe, I've had that happen before also. There was a club years ago that had dancers a couple of nights a week. Never got to see any, though, owner was always changing the nights that he had them then was always complaining that no one ever came (duh)!

The closest I came was hitting a bar that only had dancers a few hours each night. I arrived too late, and when I asked the bartender where the ladies were he became a complete prick and told me I missed them. I never returned.

I've gone out of my way to visit clubs just to find them closed and empty, which is more or less the same thing. It is annoying to find recent reviews about a club, yet arrive to find that the place is no longer in operation. In most of my travel cities, I take cabs to clubs, so it can also be costly to go out of my way to visit a club that no longer exists.

^wouldnt the cab driver know this and tell you its no longer in operation?

^^^ a good cab driver would but one just trying to get a fare wouldn't, then show up and go "oh my this club is closed, I didn't know that." you still have to pay the fare + the fare to get back.

Club velocity - is that one of the two that were near the casino? If it's the one I'm thinking of it used to be a good place (this is over 5 years ago). Most of the girls that worked there lived in pittsburgh and would car pool, sometimes you'd get lucky and be able to take one back to your hotel at the casino if you agreed to drive them home the next day. It happened to me twice! Lol I had never seen that club busy, ever.

At one time that casino was packed, then 2 casinos opened up in pittsburgh so all the Pennsylvania people quit going, and now casinos have opened up in Ohio was is essentially the nail in the coffin.

I don't go to strip clubs in West Virginia because I prefer my dancers to have their teeth.

A lot of disappointments could be eliminated if the TUSCL membership used the update club information along with submitting reviews.

I took a road trip 3 years ago from Atlanta to Ohio and back. A planned strip club lunch stop in Knoxville Tn was a bust because the club was no loner open during the day. I overnighted in Charleston WV and found all of the clubs closed on Sundays but no information about that on the club pages.

@chessmaster: It depends on where the cabbie is used to picking up from. I also tend to avoid the larger downtown clubs. But, having said all of that, shailynn is right that some of the cabbies who took me to closed clubs probably knew, but did it anyway. I usually have close-by back up plans, but in some places this doesn't work so efficiently as the clubs are very spread out. It really sucks to eat $40-50 in cab fare and have so much time wasted, but it happens.

@shadow: I agree. I do it whenever something big has changed (club closed, noticeable changes in hours, etc.) but I don't think that many members bother. Some of the bible belt areas are the worst because the reviews are often thin to begin with and Sundays can be a crap shoot.

No, Velocity is on the other side of Chester almost into PA. I actually forgot about the two down by the casino, if I get a chance might check one of them out tonight. Last I knew I was going to take the client out for supper (and no, I can't take them) depending how late that is hopefully I get a chance to run down there.

Yea ive been their...i usually submit a review that it is closed then pm founder, start a thread about it and also use the club update function and it normally fixes this problem for the next guy

I actually enjoy finding these because you can get a quick review count to your belt and i enjoy taking it for the team and being a contribute ing member of tuscl

In my rookie year with tuscl using the handel juicebox 69 i found a club in Spartanburg SC that was at the time a gym lol...i got founder to update this

But i enjoy traveling just to do so

Reminded me of several years ago my friends and I were traveling and stopped overnight in southern West Virginia. There was a strip club right next door to our hotel so we said "why not." We were way out of place but all the girls gravitated to us. Low and behold a beautiful 9 with a perfect body sits down with us.
