Besides checking favorite clubs on TUSCL every day, I also spend some time on that other site. No, not StripperWeb -- I mean StripClubList.com. Yeah, I know -- it's chaotic, crude, anonymous, and utterly unreliable, but every once in a while I get a tip from it on where to go or who to get dances from. I've been struck in recent weeks by how many posters on SCL, at least for clubs in the Midwest, mention a new trend: strippers who won't do lap dances but will do OTC. In fact, the purpose of their strip club "work" seems to be to arrange OTC. For examples, check out the SCL pages for Dancers, Brad's Brass Flamingo, and Babes in Indianapolis. Some of these posters are quite pissed off by the decreasing availability of lap dances and want club managers to *force* strippers to do lappers! I honestly don't understand that coercive way of thinking -- if a girl doesn't want to dance for you, why would you want someone to force her? Wasn't slavery abolished in this country 150 years ago?
Have any of you noticed a similar trend? I guess I'm really asking two questions:
(1) Are more dancers using their strip club jobs as a way to arrange OTC?
(2) Are extras becoming more available ITC?
I say yes to both, although I've only been seeking extras and otc for a relatively short time period so I might not have the best perspective.
In clubs that allow it, I commonly see strippers who are trying to build their escorting business. But I've never seen one who turned down money for lap dances. Seems like the club could require stripping and lap dances since it's the essence of the job.
Many clubs will fire the girl for having an explicit escorting business on the side. In those clubs otc discussions take more time and effort.
You'd think that the "dancers" would want to do some dancing, not just to advertise but to cover their club fees and tip-outs. Nuts, lap dances shouldn't be loss leaders; they should just be all that extra gravy for them.
I guess it depends what timeframe you are measuring over and the are that you are in. I would say that, over the last decade, OTC and ITC extras have generally become more available. But I don't think that they are as free flying as they were during the worst of the economic downturn. I attribute the recent tightening to: (1) money getting better again in some areas; and (2) LE getting more aggressive in some areas, especially in response to the stuff that started happening when dancers were desperate during the downturn.
Net-net, in my opinion, the pendulum is swinging back a bit in the other direction, but I don't think that things will go back to what they were in the 90's or even 2002-2007. Expectations have risen and the newest crop of dancers is much more accustomed to dicier activities than was the last generation of strippers.
I can always tell which dancers are looking for otc encounters. They do few lappers and spend most of their time waiting around not hustling, or else if they do hustle theyre back in vip doing a little "extra"!
I would say looking for whales is more common, and whales aren't looking to have just a lap dance in the clubs I visit.
To PhantomGeek: You wrote "Nuts, lap dances shouldn't be loss leaders; they should just be all that extra gravy for them." For some reason, seeing the words "nuts", "lap dances", "extra", and "gravy" close together in the same sentence cracks me up. Isn't there a horny 15-year-old with a hard-on inside every man?
Well, you mention Indianapolis clubs in your post. One thing I have noticed about Dancers and BBF is that dancers tend to sit with regulars for hours on end, even without making much money. I have had trouble getting lap dances at BBF and Dancers in the past, even when being proactive, asking at the stage and such. Sometimes I left Indy with lots of cash still in my wallet, not by my choosing. As for OTC, I was always under the impression, it was not as common in Circle City versus places like Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, etc.
Duece, I just looked at those Indy clubs' pages on SCL, and I suspect that it's just 1 or 2 of the same posters blowing things way out of proportion. I've seen the same thing happen on SCL with different non-issues. Probably some loser going on the rampage because a stripper won't dance for him. Imagine that!
If it were a real trend, I would expect to see it mentioned in TUSCL reviews, etc., and I haven't. Let me know if you have.
As for extras and OTC in general being on the rise, I think it's been happening over the past 15 years, with more private VIPs, internet escorting and cell phones, and with clubs taking a bigger cut on dances and room fees. There is no recent tightening that I've noticed, at least in the places I've been.
We have all seen strippers spend several hours with one guy who does no even do a lap dance with the stripper. Guess what? She probably make her money from OTC encounters.
First of all, you have to go on a club by club basis. I say that because at my #3 club, it's the same as it ever was there. Most there seem content to only performing legal club activities there, although I do know some do OTC, or at least rumors exist purporting it happens. I do wonder, however, if my #2 club has extras, because they seem to be allowing more lately, but it's not like I've had a BJTC there lately, or ever. I've never thought to ask about OTC there, though, which is a byproduct of the fact they have to be there til they close, which is past the point I am willing to stay there.
fast forward five years.
now otc/extras are practically falling in my lap.
last night an ex-cf that i'm still friends with (we hadn't danced in a year) gave me a hug, sat down, and opened with 'baby, im looking to make some money on my nights off'.
where's the game?
where's the coy seduction?
(who gives a fuck?)
I wonder why it is that aids infected homo cocksuckers who swallow semen think that they're not on ignore and that I can read their posts. You are reacting to mine like a good little monkey boy.

i liked your last review.
But overall I would think strip club mileage and the number of girls who do OTC would be increasing.
