I just looked at shadowcat’s profile and noticed his oldest prop was in January 2012 – I actually joined TUSCL on Jan 2012 so IDK anything b/f that.
Were older member props lost at some point or did they start around January 2012?

My recollection is that it would have been new in January 2012. In December 2011 Founder began making changes (still not finished) to TUSCL's physical appearance, that were better served to viewing on mobile devices. (Other websites have also done the same.)
As far as new features added as part of those changes, a member prop was the only one I'm aware of. We've lost some goodies in the process: Club discussion feature, and the ability to post multiple profile photos.
I remember that at one point, founder did, in fact, have a Like button on the site. Given that it was a Facebook Like button, which are notorious for reporting back to FaceBook even when one is not logged in, he was kind enough to remove it. :)
Have you tried the Wayback Machine? I know it has some old TUSCL captures. archive.org
Club discussions would be nice. There are times I want to reply to reviews without necessarily propping.
No props before then. I suggested a LIKE button, as with Facebook. I don't know if Founder took my suggestion and added the PROP.
