O.k., Guys i need a little help here. I've never been to a club between the hours of Noon and 4pm. I Generally have always imagined the place to be dead and with only the ugliest girls dancing. Is it really worth going? What are the Advantages? What are the disadvantages? Some of you have stated that Dancers working the Noon shift can back the rules alot more often....but is this because there's no one in the club or because they're Ugly? Insight and experiences welcome:

for almost 20 yrs I have been an afternoon customer almost exclusively. I usually finish the day early and get to the clubs between 2-3. usually fewer dancers and often the ones working aren't the 10's. but i have had some real great times before dinner. all of my super mileage experiences were before 6pm. clubs aren't as crowded, dancers in my opinion are more friendly and if you find the right one. wow.

Again it depends on the club. In clubs where the girl gets to keep all her LD money you can usually negotiate, especially if you're buying more than one dance. But when the house takes a cut it's more difficult. And in clubs where you pay someone other than the dancer the price is generally fixed. Then there are clubs where you pay the house for the room and "tip" the girl separately, that's always a negotiation because there's generally no fixed price for the "tip" and each girl wil try to get as much as she can.

Heather, some clubs have fixed dance prices I believe and at some other clubs, the dancers are allowed to set their own price. Of course with the right dancer, flexibility might be a bit more common. Females may get a break on a dance price with the right dancer but I am just guessing. I used to go to clubs where the dancers always charged a fixed price and didn't change. I like the negotiated price much better.

I don't think I should be negotiating..especially not for a first timer..I think I'll just sit back and watch..Do you think I'll be approached?? If so , what does one say..Should I admit I've never been? Or, does that make the girls go-away???

Shadowcat, would you say that it's easier to negotiate extras during this time? You seem to be a Pro at your clubs...What's your Experience been like along this subject? I'm thinking privacy, slow sales, motivated dancer...well its gotta equal a little more leverage in demands for service. Opinions?

Some clubs will run discounts during the day, but many do not.

Do the prices for Afternoon dances stay the same??? Or do they run day specials? And can anybody give me an Idea of how much privacy is available during the day? Is it typically just you and the dancer in the VIP alone?

I have not found any great difference in the attractiveness of dancers on night v. day shifts. I have found that it is a lot harder to get dances, because so many dancers are tied down with regulars during the afternoon shifts. With respect to going back to work smelling of smoke...the first time I went to my favorite club during the day, the first thing I noticed was the (relative) lack of smoke. I don't know if people smoke less during the day, or just that it had been a relatively short time since the air got cleaned overnight by the HVAC (probably the latter). I don't know that you can do anything about the perfume except stay away from the dancers, which rather defeats the purpose.

The difference between going at night vs. going during the day is the difference between ... well night and day. During the day clubs feel more like your typical neighborhood bar where friends gather together to swap BS. At night it's a whole different feel because the hustle factor is so much higher. Go during the day, get to know a couple of dancers who you're comfortable with, tell them what you have in mind and ask for advice.

heather - it's a great idea for you to go either alone or with some girlfriends to a club during the daytime. I do it all the time. You can get a really good idea of what goes on in the clubs during the more "sedate" afternoon hours. Enjoy!!

I don't think this has been mentioned that the quantity of girls is almost always lesser in the afternoon than the night shifts. Of course, the number of customers is generally lower as well. I think the local clubs might have a better chance of finding some nice looking girls, but the more well known ones not as such. For example, the local club I go to has some decent looking women that will work the day shifts. However, one club that is relatively well known that I go to a couple times a year (none yet this year) have let me down in the afternoon shifts the last couple times I have been there (maybe because I have been on the tail enf of the afternoon shift)

A lot of smart girls will use afternoons to see their regulars and will attempt to schedule them so that they come in at different times. That's what my current fav does. She always knows in advance when I'm coming, and I always know that when I get there that she'll be free and waiting for me. It makes it very pleasant. That may be why some guys think that only dogs work days, because they never see the really sharp girls who are tied up with their regulars much of the time.

In general I prefer afternoons and early evenings, but you have to realize it depends on the type of club and what you are looking for. In DC, where I am, there are no private dances, no touching on stage. If you want to have some interaction, which usually means some light flirtatious touching (YMMV and at some clubs you can get a lot more) you want to invite a dancer to sit and talk. Daytime is a lot more laid back and low pressure, and the girls are more likely to spend a lot of time with you. I also find that tips go a lot further on the day shift. It doesn't take a lot to get noticed as a good tipper, resulting in great treatment by the dancers. If you are in a lapdance club, well my experiences vary. You could get the hard sell if the dayshift girls are trying to salvage a slow day (I've had that). You could get the clockwatchers who have decided either they made their money or the day is a loss and are just ready to go home. My most common experience though is the days are great since fewer customers often means the girls work harder to please and are willing to put in a bit more effort to convince you to get another dance.

Shadowcat, I'm not talking about an actual appointment like going to see a doctor or something. If I meet a girl I like and I want to come see her again next week, I'll ask when she's workng that week and tell her when I plan to come in. And if we really hit it off we'll exchange phone numbers or email addresses and I'll confirm when I'm coming in. I haven't had too many disappointments doing that. It increases the odds that she'll be there, but you're right, it's no guarantee. I've found that many of these girls are pretty serious about making money and they try to cultivate regulars, so if they know a new sure thing is making a special effort to come see them they will often (but not always) put forth a little extra effort.

Heather: Many strip clubs will not allow women or groups of women to come in without a male escort-day or night. You may want to check on this before heading over to a club on a "scouting mission". That being said, I think you'll have much better luck at night and even better luck on a weekend night than you will during the day. Weekdays most dancers have regular customers where as, on a busy weekend night, dancers are usually on the prowl for money from all sources. Smart regulars stay away and the girls tend to spend more time working the room than they might during other times of the week.

Why not go some afternoon with a girlfriend? All you need to do is go in, have a drink and look around. And if you aren't comfortable in one place, try another one. Or if afternoons don't work, try a weeknight early in the week, most places are pretty dead then too as long as it's not too late (which is when most places get busy.) That should make you more comfortable when you bring hubby because you'll know what to expect. Most of these places are no big deal, they're just a bar or cocktail lounge that happens to have some dancers. Think of them as go-go dancers rather than strippers if it helps. And if you happen to get talking to a girl who you like, ask to set up an appointment with her for the following week. I do that all the time.

Since I've never been, Would this be a better time of day to go for me..I'm figuring it would be a bit less intimidating...I'd like to check out the place before I go with my husband..or should I just bring him along??

StripShopper-- I have to agree with shadowcat. Obviously, your choices during the day can be limited. But the theory that only ugly girls work during the day is absolutely b.s. Some chicks prefer to work during the day so they can have the nights off--especially if they have kids. I've found that you get pretty much complete privacy. I've gotten some incredible mileage during the day. And, no, not from ugly chicks. I've walked out of strip clubs many times shaking my head not believing the mileage I got from really hot girls.

The idea that night girls are better looking than the day girls is a myth. A lot of clubs require girls to work a certain number of day shifts, so in those clubs the same girls work both shifts. Plus a lot of girls prefer days. Two of the best looking dancers I know only work days because they are single mothers and want to be home at night. How you do it is up to you. I've been going to clubs during the day for years and never had a problem. If you travel and have some freedom in your job it's usually fairly easy to schedule an afternoon break now and then. Plus most guys who travel end up working a lot at night returning emails and phone messages and doing paperwork, so you aren't cheating your job at all. And not all clubs smell bad, some have very good ventilation systems. Just avoid the girls who use perfume.

Back=Break (oops) Also, how do you schedule a visit in the middle of the business day...everytime I go to a club I come out Smelling like Smoke and Cheap Perfume. Try explaining that to a Client.
