I have a buddy that like to hit the Watering Hole Lounge in Cornersville, Tennessee when he is visiting Nashville. There are also a couple of good clubs in Lexington KY.
Kokomo probably will be kind of out of the way. I do need to get to the Hip Hugger someday, though.
Cornersville and Lexington are also kind of out of range. My days on the road are going to have tight schedules as is and going more than 30 minutes out of my way seems like it might not be worth it.
I probably need to stick to I-65. Reviews in Nashville and Louisville seem unimpressive, which is why I'm asking if anyone knows of any hidden gems.
If you want extras go to Arnie's in Harvey; just south of the Loop in Chicago. If you want maximum bang for your buck with a lower impact experience Heavenly Bodies in Elk Grove Village is the best value. If you go PM me and I'll give you a few tips.
I've been to HB's. Meh. And from what I've read about Arnie's, I'd stick out like a sore thumb.
I've stuck to the gown clubs Chicago-wise. I transitioned from Scores to Polekatz about a year ago. Been seeing good things from Scores' reviews again, so I might give it another try.
I can do Chicago just about anytime, though. Thinking I might want to save my dollars for a more unique experience elsewhere on the road that I might not get again if I don't travel that way again.
Anyone have any experience with the Evansville, Ind. clubs? Is Trixie's in Louisville worth it? Is BBF still the gold standard in Indianapolis or havs Dancers or PT's surpassed it? Is there anything worthwhile in Nashville? These are the kinds of questions I'm asking at this stage.
My fear is someone will tell me the whole path is pretty dry. But from reading reviews from those cities, seems like that might be the case.
Might just have to do my best based off ratings & reviews. Timing might matter, too. BBF, for instance, has historically been much, much better for me at night. Some of the Chicago places might be better early-evening options.
Chicago
I like the south suburban clubs a lot: Club O in Harvey and Club 390 in Chicago Heights on weekday afternoons, Jimmy's in the Heights late at night. Topless dances cost $20, $20, and $15, respectively and are very hands-on.
Indianapolis
My favorite more-or-less upscale clubs are Dancers, Rio, and Brad's Brass Flamingo, probably in that order. Topless lappers, again very hands-on, cost $20 at all three, though Brad's has $12 dances daily from noon to 2. For a walk on the dive side, consider Babe's and Harem House on Pendleton Pike on the northeast side, where topless privates are ordinarily $20 but are offered at 2-for-$20 all day Tuesday.
The Nashville scene is bleak, I've been told. If I were in Nashville, I would probably try to make time for a road trip to Cornersville, where good times can allegedly be had at Midnight Express and the Watering Hole.
George: It'll be a while 'til I'm there. I'll send you a PM.
Deuce: First off, thanks. Great insight. I appreciate it.
Being from north of Chicago, I typically don't go that far south, but since I have to on the road this time, I'll consider consider those options. I've said before that Harvey seems iffy to me, but during the day, it should probably be OK.
So you'd pick Dancers and Rio over Brad's, eh? Might have to ask for more details in that regard.
Cornersville is a little out of the way, but knowledge is power. If Nashville is bleak, I can focus on the others.
If you are going down I-65 south of Nashville, you will go right through Cornersville. You can see the Watering hole from the interstate. It has been, in the past, higher mileage than any of the Nashville clubs. The hours are limited and the selection of dancers is not always the best.
I'm coming from the north, driving, and Nashville is the southernmost point on this particular tour. I have a tight schedule there, then am heading back north.
Tennessee will be where I'm staying the longest, but it's for a busy convention, so I might not have time to spend there. Might have better luck elsewhere.
I have found Arnie's Idle Hour to be a jolly place in Harvey (south Chicago).
I did 'stick out like a sore thumb' as you suggested would be the case with yourself. Didn't bother me a bit - the dancers were all happy and 'willing'; Luther, the big bouncer, was a barrel of laughs; beer was cheap.
I've heard nothing but good things, but it just doesn't seem like my kind of place. I'm a sucker for some glitz and glamour and I tend to go for the blonde/brunette pornstar types rather than the more down-and-dirty girls.
To those of you who like it -- support it and keep it in business, sounds like they deserve it. Not my bag, though.
I haven't clubbed in Louisville but the 3 other towns are certainly very low on my list. If you want "sure thing" action in Chicago check out Arnie's Idle Hour, or for just lappers the IS in Hammond, IN. I didn't find much at all to recommend Indy clubs.
Nashville has some weird restrictive laws and plenty of "election year enforcement" that really suppress the ITC action. However, the dancers in Music City have to eat (and buy drugs) just like dancers in other towns, so it IS possible to find occasional take out.
I've said my peace about Arnie's a few times over already in this thread. IS might be a place I'll have to check as I've heard about it having good lappers before.

Who knows.
Where you go here depends in what you're looking for.

Ask georgmicrodong about Louisville.

Good stuff. Thanks, guys.
'fraid it's out of my way.
