Perhaps a name meaningless to anyone under 60, but Bobby Sherman passed away yesterday.
For anyone who had an older sister, like myself, he was part of the late 60’s early 70’s pop trifecta: Bobby Sherman. Davy Jones, and David Cassidy.
Times have changed so much, I’m not sure how to tell you how popular he was. I doubt teen magazines even exist anymore but there were teen magazines like Tiger Beat, Teen Beat and 16, and many more and he was on the cover of everyone.
He was a singer with a bunch of gold records and AM Top 40 pop hits. He also was in a TV show, “Here Come the Brides”. His poster was on the wall of every teen age girl. He was huge.

I actually have his first record somewhere in my stack of old records, the name of that album is "my SonThe Folk Singer'
