Raining Money

Yesterday saw some idiot started raining money on stripper while getting some dances.
My thoughts on "raining money":
1. Total waste of money.
2. If stripper is making money that easy what is her motivation to provide good dances or VIP?
3. Don't spoil them.
To make it worse it is girl that several TSCLers have complained about being ROB in VIP! Can't blame the girl if she is getting several hundred singles on the floor for providing several dances.

Your thoughts?

    A). Who is this ROB?

B). Making it rain ain't my thing. Mainly because I don't frequent clubs with a party vibe. If I was at Magic City, I'd make it monsoon.

It rains enough here in Seattle. I don't need any more rain when I'm indoors.

    VeryBigDawg,

It's just a way of having fun man. I think that's what you guys are missing. No, it doesn't provide the most bang for your buck. The people who make it rain could use that money to buy a dance, rather than just throwing it all over the place. But some people just like the idea of letting a bunch of money go all at once.

I've never made it rain, but that's only because I don't have that kind of money. If I were some rich rapper with countless disposable income, sure I'd make it rain

Me personally, I can't help but have some affection for these women who attend to our filthy little needs. Seems a little tight-sphinctered to be hating on them having a small stroke of luck. It's just how it goes, often the case that other guy(s)/lopaw(s) with more money are going to monopolize the dancer you're dreaming on.

Better to be raining money than raining men.

making it rain is not something I understand either
If i want to dump 100 bucks I will get someone to grind on my cock in the back last week I sat down to check out one of the new girls in the club after a couple guys made it rain well I told the girl I guess i all ready lost this game my money was not going to compete with the puddles of ones on the stage from the rain storm. She laughed and proceeded to give me one of the best stage shows I ever had for 3 bucks. She hummed on my dick shoved two fingers in herself right in my face then shoved each nipple in my mouth. She then asked what I was doing tonight I said just hanging out with **** a different girl I was waiting on

Wait a sec, if she was a ROB then wouldn't #2 be a good thing?

in general thriftiness is seen as disrespectful especially for girls who are dancing particuraly long periods of time with few thrifty customers monopolizing their time. when the other customer makes it rain in front of a cheap customer he makes a point that he is letting the dancer knows that she is worth more than the bare minimum. its a complement and guys who make it rain or give large tips discretely are getting a better chance to spend better quality time with the dancer.

every club, especially the dives has dancers who are undertipped all day. all dancers need a rain of money at times, its enlivening to the dancer's spirit.

from the dancer's perspective cheapness can be insulting. i know that i will give Unusually Higher Mileage to guys who give me good stage tips and otherwise basic lap dances to guys who tip basically.

Guys who make it rain for the most part don’t do it for the dancers – they do it to attract attention to *themselves* and to look like a playa/baller – kind of a “look at me and look how much money I have that I just throw it up in the air like it was nothing”

@trixxi not sure what you mean by "thriftiness". When I'm watching the stage show, I tip at a rate of about $10 - $15 an hour. If dancers need more "respect" than that, too rich for my blood, I'll stay home with my porn. I have no problem with what two other consenting adults do with flying money, but I don't feel obliged to participate.

Papi's correct about this, generally speaking. One dancer told me she had a guy who wanted to date her make it rain a couple times. She didn't go out with him, and he just ignored her after that.

When I want to show off, I make it rain with blank checks from a closed account.

I'm white, mid 30s, and I've done this a few times so I'm happy to give my take on it.

I like strippers. They make me happy. Strippers like money. It makes them happy. To me, making it rain is just tipping generously. Have you ever gone out to dinner and very generously tipped (25-50%) a server who was attentive, helpful, and entertaining? This is how I occasionally tip a dancer after she gives me a great set of lap dances, after she did an incredible stage set, or both. I use a $100 strap of $1s to make it rain, using anywhere from half the strap to all of it.

Attitude matters. I've seen the guys who make "making it rain" an ugly power thing. These are the guys who throw dollar bill stacks at the dancers' faces like they're throwing a brick at them. That's not me. I prefer to stand stage side and ATM it onto the girls one bill at a time. I find it incredibly hot to watch a girl writhe around on a pile of money, with dollar bills sticking to her skin, while more dollar bills are floating down onto her. Don't be an asshole about it, and I think it puts a genuine smile on these girls' faces. They're being valued highly and publicly. What woman doesn't like that?

Sometimes you get some great unexpected results. I once saw this dancer at a club that was a 9. Tall, athletic, white, brunette, firm ass and small perfectly shaped boobs. Beautiful face. I'd been watching her stage sets all night. Great pole skills and overall classy vibe. I spotted her dancing on a small satellite stage, surrounded by PLs, and decided to make it rain on her because she was so hot and had great dance skills. I walked up to the stage and took out my $100 stack of bills. Once she made eye contact, I put the stack in my palm with the other hand on top ready to start dispensing. She totally understood what I had in mind and she crawls over to me on all fours. Here's where she pleasantly surprised me - she turns around, facing away from me, and while on all fours proceeds to shake her ass up and down like she was getting fucked doggy style. As long as dollar bills were falling on her ass, she kept shaking it. Other dancers noticed what was happening and started cheering. This one stripper stopped in the middle of giving a guy a lap dance (sorry dude!) to yell "Again! ... Again! ... Again!" About $50 later, the stripper I was raining it on started laughing and looked back at me to say "oh my god, this is so tiring!" Overall, a fond memory and totally worth it.

Is it about more than making a dancer happy after she made me happy? Is there an ego thing in it for me? Honestly? Yeah, a little. A lot of things that matter in competing for women in the real world don't really matter in the club - looks, dick size, charm, personality, intelligence, etc. What matters is money. Now, I'm not a loud character in the club. I'm not hooting an hollering or getting super drunk and noisy. But, I do get a small kick out of standing up at a stage surrounded by fellow PLs and making it rain after the other guys have made her work for their dollar. Is it silly male peacock behavior? Yes. Is it a subtle "fuck you and your $2" to the other guys? Yeah. What can I say? Being an asshole sometimes can be fun.

Does it spoil girls for anyone else in the club, or for the rest of the night? I don't think so. I imagine it happens infrequently for most girls and that they see it as having lucked out getting a very profitable 10-30-60 seconds of work. But they still have to hustle for the rest of the night to hit their financial goal.

Is this a bad use of money? I probably do it once a year and I club way more often than that. I can afford it and it entertains me. So I see it as consuming a luxury product. Most of us probably spend money in ways that others find puzzling - collectibles, expensive hobbies like golf, cars, clothes, etc. Whether those things are worth it is a personal decision.

One caveat, I would probably never do this with a dancer I see regularly. That would spoil her and raise her expectations on what she can get off me financially. I do care about value and cost control with dancers I see regularly. I only do this while traveling and with girls I'll probably never see again.

So, there it is. I may have contradicted myself with some things, and acknowledged my inner douche bag, but what the hell. I'm being honest.

I think there may be a cultural and generational aspect to it.

Taking RP1’s post into account – for the most part most of the dudes I’ve seen “making it rain” and that like to “make it rain” are young black dudes.

In this case, it seems as a cultural thing IMO where young black guys in particular have grown up with hip-hop where often times hip-hop is all about having bitches; cars; jewelry, and money – and not only having it – but letting EVERYONE know you have it – I see this “making it rain” as something that is glamorized in the hip-hop world and that young black dudes aspire to and like to imitate.

I still think it’s an ego and a showing-off thing (whether conscious or subconscious) – but that is just my personal opinion and I’m not claiming it as a fact. There is nothing wrong w/ tipping a dancer all you want – but doing it in a purposeful manner for all to see it’s kind of an ego thing IMO – one can tip her all they want when the dancer is sitting w/ you or giving you dances – why throw the money all in the air or all over the floor where the naked dancer is then on all fours on the floor having to pick up all the singles like if she was looking for scraps.

And of course – I’ve seen non-black guys make it rain – I’ve seen some young white guys that are probably also into the hip-hop thing and thus like the “make it rain” thing – and I’ve seen some 50ish white dude do it – but these are the exception per my experiences.

Live and let live and to each their own of course – and dancers seem to like being rained on – which I can see – probably easier just to do an air dance and get paid 2x – 4x the dance price than have to grind on a dude for the cost of 1 dance.

Another "Don't do XYZ with a dancer because it will ruin it for the rest of us!" thread. Amen, amen and amen brother!

Unfortunately there is not much that us simple folk can do when a guy decides (for whatever reason) to give a girl large sums of money. If we want her attention and she is already getting fat and happy that night, then it's time to move on to another girl or call it a night. There is always next time, since of course the odds are good that, by then, she'll have pissed away whatever she earned during your last visit and will be broke and eager again.

    @readypayerone-great insight man.

I make it rain on occasion, and I love it when the dancers back their ass up doggystyle motion while I make it rain on their asses.
