I was talking to a stripper a couple of weeks ago. She was showing me her latest tattoo on her arm. She said it hurt like a bitch. I said that I have never had the urge to get one. She said "Don't. it's overrated". I don't listen to stripper advice very often but I think that I will this time.
I do but I don't remember it really hurting all that much, not more than like a bee sting. It mostly depends where if its on your ribs or chest it could be more painful.
Yes, I have two. Got both of them when my two daughters got theirs. I was nominated for "father of the year" those years...at least in their minds. White collar professional and I just celebrated my 54th birthday. You guys need to lighten up.
I don't have any either, but I've seriously considered getting the Vikings logo tatted on me and I probably will one day. It's all of matter of WHERE to put it. That's what I haven't decided on yet.
no.
I once had a dancer suggest I could get a dick piercing. I asked her if she was crazy. Stupid question. I knew she was. She must have thought I was too. She had a clit piercing. I'm not into piercings either but I do have a scar or two.
My ATF and I share the same birthday (40 years apart). Two years ago we celebrated by going to dinner and staying at a 5 star hotel. We both got insanely drunk and she wanted us to get matching tattoos. Luckily I passed out first. Closest I've ever come.
Sports teams change logos. No relationship is ever necessarily forever. It's perfectly plausible anything that seems aesthetically gorgeous now could seem cliche, passe and dated in 10 years.
Long story short: Decisions that have largely permanent results with no recourse to change them are rarely great decisions, IMHO.
^ Yeah, sports teams do change logos, but that doesn't happen very often.
The results of this thread don't surprise me one bit. Most of the members on TUSCL are old and when they were young tattoos weren't nearly as common/popular as they are now. It's a generational thing. If you were young in the 1960 or 70's, like many of you were, it's a lot less likely you'll have a tattoo.
@ATAC - does that mean Margaritaville is autobiographical?
I don't know the reason
I stayed here all season
Nothin to show but this brand new tattoo
But it's a real beauty
A mexican cutie
How it got here I haven't a clue
LOL Steve. I really don't know. Obviously both quotes are from his songs. It truly wouldn't surprise me. Imagine building a career like his on bad life decisions.
I could try and debate you, George, but I know far better than to try and go toe-to-toe with a Marine.
All I'll do is respectfully tip my cap and say, "Semper Fi," thanks for all you did and if anyone's earned the right to wear ink, it's you and your fellow servicemen.
Yes, I *did* in fact receive a discharge, and Honorable one, if you can believe it (and not one of those "Other than Honorable" ones that is upgraded some period of time later).
However, for those who don't know it, there is a basic tenet held by those in the United States Marine Corp that "Once a Marine, always a Marine." Simple separation from active service doesn't change that.
I've found it to be true, even aside from the whole Esprit de Corps thing, in that the attitudes and confidence haven't managed to fade yet. :)
@AnonymousJim and Clubber: Even though it makes me a bit uncomfortable to say so, you're welcome.

Props for something new. But the answer is no. Hell not. Like Clubber, never will.
But I do have a pierced ear for a diamond stud. The girl that pierced my ear had tons of tats and asked if wanted a tattoo also. Lol.
The only "piercings" I have are from doctors and one bullet.
Her: "Mila? Is that your wife's name?"!
On a more serious note, CG raises a good point - come on, ladies - fess up!

No tats for me, thank-you. Same pref for dancers but I can accept small or hidden tats, especially ones the carry emotional attachments with them.

Wrong. I will *always* be a Marine. :)

I like what AJim said, but I believe his point might be you did receive a discharge, I assume.
That said, you will always be a Marine! And thanks for your service, of course.
Nurse #2: "It doesn't say 'Adam' it says 'Amsterdam'!"
And no tats here either.
