I always tip dancers on stage, even when they aren't very good and it really bugs me when guys sit around and don't bother to tip. I mean they are up there working and taking their clothes off for our enjoyment, it's just rude not to tip.
What I'm wondering is what does everyone think is currently average tip per dance?Again this is just on stage not tips in private or anything else, and I'm talking mainly about nude clubs. I'm sure it varies by region too.

It obviously depends on the club, but at the club I visit most often, I believe $3 is the standard. Some people skip tipping in one dollar bills and tip a $5 bill. There's a different club I have visited where you can get away with only $2, though.

$2 if I'm just "paying rent" to be there, $5 if she's hot. Just because $1 is nothing nowadays.

My habit is mostly to tip girls I'd be interested in coming over to sit with me after, which would be the girls I think are hot and I want dances or more from. I usually tip 5-20, mostly closer to $5.
I personally don't tip every girl who goes on stage. I don't tip the "tip to strip girls" and I don't tip fat and/or ugly girls either. I might tip if i was sitting at the stage, but in all honesty if those girls came to the stage I'd probably get up and go sit elsewhere. In clubs with tip walks, I do tip every girl who comes around. But I avoid those clubs mostly.
I don't feel it's rude, maybe I'm wrong. Most of the time when I'm in the club, I'm sitting with another stripper. I think it's more rude to the stripper I'm sitting with to get up and go tip another girl every couple of minutes.
Also, at many of the clubs I go to, stage tipping is a signal of interest. If I tip a girl on stage, it's cause I'm interested in her coming over to chat with me and I'm probably gonna buy some dances or maybe do a room. If I'm not interested in a dancer, tipping her on stage is a mixed signal and then I'm just being rude when I reject her when she approaches later.
I think the tip amounts vary from area to area and club to club, hell even shift to shift. And I think the mean is probably much lower than the average, and the standard deviation even at a single club are very high. I still see plenty of dudes tipping a single buck, or drawing out tipping 3-5 bucks over a long time while interacting on stage. But at those same clubs, a guy throwing 50-100 in singles at a time is a regular thing.

I don’t sit at the stage. I approach to say hi to a dancer I know or to let someone knock w In interested. Typically it’s 5 for me and the main thing is speaking briefly.

Stage tip, a lot depends on the club if it's $15 lap or $40+ but a $1 tip is pretty pathetic these days
When I started clubbing in the mid 80s one dollar would have been equivalent today of about 40c
.
Haven't sat at the rail in years but if I approach the stage it's generally $5. If it's a reg or someone's whose attention I'm seeking it's more
.
The dollar stripper tip really hasn't kept up with inflation

Most of the clubs I go to, it’s customary to tip if you’d like the girl to join you, unless you’re sitting on perv row, then it’s only fair to tip the girl on stage $2-3 each.
I avoid clubs that allow tip walks, they’re annoying and very often abusive.
Typically if I’d like a specific dancer to sit with me I’ll tip her when she has a stage set, usually $10 or $20.

If I'm sitting at rail it's $1 a dancer after each two song set. If I'm not into her I'll move to the bar sometimes.
It's like $12 an hour for a steady rotation.
