Average visit

I think I can guess this for a few of the regular posters, but what is your average visit to a club like? For me, I go about once a month. I always go alone, and I usually don't plan to go in advance. If the mood strikes me, I'll check the website or answering machine at my regular club to see if there is anyone worth seeing. If so, I leave from work, stop by the ATM and hit the club around 4PM. I usually sit stageside (yep, pervert row). I tip $2 per song for the dancer on my stage, and $1 for the others who come by after their set. I always drink beer (Heineken). If a favorite is dancing I'll usually tip her $5/song and she'll usually join me for a drink. With her company, depending on who it is, how many drinks we have, general mood, etc. I can expect anything from some flirtatious conversation to some under the table groping (this is supposedly a no contact club, but some of the girls also have some "incidental" contact at the stage). No lapdances, but that helps keep the spending reasonable. The spending is usually under $200 (about 1/2 is bar tab and waitress tips). I always pay cash as I go. I'll usually leave around 7PM lightly buzzed and happy. As a comparrison, for those of you not used to DC prices, a few friends and I often manage a $200 bar tab between three of us on a guys night out. That also happens about once a month.

I tend to have 2 different types of routine depending on whether or not I'm going to see a regular. If I am, we set it up in advance, I go in, she joins me, we sit at the bar for maybe an hour with a couple of drinks and maybe something to eat, I watch her dance onstage once or twice, then we may go for some private dances depending on how much time and money I have. My trips are usually in the early afternoon and often include lunch for both of us.

If I'm in a club where I don't have a regular, I'll sit at the bar and tip each girl as she does her thing (either on stage or the tip walk, depending on the place), then if I find a girl who I like I'll do pretty much the same thing as above, if not I'll leave. I don't go very often so a typical visit costs anywhere from $50 to $200 or so, depending on whether I participate in some private dances. I almost always take about $250 with me, but I rarely spend it all.

Like Chandler, it depends on the club, and to me, who is working. At the club I frequent most, it goes like this...

I go about 3 to 4 PM. beers are two for one, $4 plus a $2 tip. I stay for about 4 beers during a normal vist. While there, I visit with my favorite bartender. She will alwys talk with me when not busy. Often she (former dancer) is better to look at then many of the current dancers. Rarely does anyone tip during the stage dance. They all come by after their set and ask for tips. I give them all at least $1, the average. If she is a favorite, up to $5. I've visited the VIP a few times with differnt dancers and once with two at the same time (a major waste). Only one have I taken back more than once, and she no longer works. I've talked with her since and she came down with some sort of cancer and can't work. And at such a young age. Most dancers don't bother me since I am a regular and they know better. Sometimes I buy a dancer a drink or two, about $16. If I don't go to the VIP, about $50- $75 will cover it. If I do the VIP thing, about $250 will take care of everything.

My travel visits are usually closer to Chitown, with the exception of the VIP. I usually am happy with the standard lapdance, but considering my average visit you can see why.

My strip club visits are fairly big deals, financially, because they come so seldom. I usually get to favorite club at about 9:00 p.m., and take about a half an hour to get the lay of the land, and recuperate from the three hour drive. then go to the dj booth and check the menu. I then start to go the rail (the aforementioned pervert row), and tip dancers that I would like to get dances from. If I don't know the dancer, I will get a couch dance from her. If the couch dance(s) turn(s) out well, I will take her to VIP. If I already know the dancer, we will go straight to VIP. Once I start going back to VIP, the night consists essentially of VIP dances, alternating with different dancers, and occasional stretches of conversation with other dancers outisde VIP. I generally stay til closing.

In essence, my club experience is centered around VIP. I go into the club ready to spend five small, but usually end up only spending 350-400.

I go to too many different kinds of clubs to have any one set routine. At some, I only tip at the stage. At others, I only get table dances, not VIP room couch dances. At a few clubs, couch dances are the only way to go. I usually don't drink much, because I'll have a long drive ahead of me. But at some place, drinking with the girls is the main attraction.

One pattern I've fallen into at the club where I'm a semi-regular is to arrive soon after the 9 PM shift change and start by sitting on a stool in a corner, away from the bar and away from where the table dances are done. I don't like being asked for dances too much right from the start. Eventually, one of the less mercenary dancers will come over and chat, usually, but not always, one who knows my habit. It's a nice, non-committal point from which I can pick and choose when to move over to a prime table for drinking, lapdances, backrubs and such foolishness.

This club being in a college town, the point when I leave is usually determined by when the crowd gets too rowdy. It usually happens very suddenly around midnight. Too loud, too crowded, too much testosterone run amok.

I rarely spend more than about $100, except at the clubs that are all about $20 -$25 couch dances, which aren't really my thing.
