@ lotsoffun: You beat me to it! I should have thought of that. That actually did happen to me (and the rest of the Puget Sound Region club-goers). The feds did shut down a chain of four strip clubs in 2010. Among the four were two of my favorites.
I heard today only 18% of our government actually shuts down during a shutdown.
I think the part everyone would like to shut down, that being congress, is still as dysfunctional as always.
If Obamacare is so bad, pass it all and wait for the next election to see the damage among the other party. They didn't do that. Instead we have two parties engaged in a dumb versus dumber contest.
I have wondered how the young and unemployed are supposed to pay for healthcare.
A better health care system would require hospitals to have transparency and publish how much they charge for medical procedures so that consumers could do apples to apples comparison shopping between hospitals.
