I was watching some porn online yesterday, because I can't spend 7 days a week in strip clubs. I came across a video that seemed just what I wanted--a couple of big boobed girls playing with each other. The video was made in England and the girls had British accents. And along the bottom of the screen appeared subtitles in English!
Now on my last visit to London, I had a few puzzling moments when the English spoke to me with their peculiar version of English. The worst thing is that they have a habit of shortening or even omitting syllables in words. But I think I can understand enough dialogue even without subtitles to follow the plot of a porn movie.

I once watched a porn movie that was in Sign Language-Freaky.
Never watch porn that's translated from English to Spanish. Whoever does that translating has a lot to learn about nuances.

Probably for the deaf. England has a lot of "diversity" rules. Even where muslims can scream about making a caliphate there.
There is a new bill in congress to require movie theatres to have special needs equipment for the deaf and for the blind.

LOL! Yeah, even if you missed it completely, you either are missing very little or might even better.
I almost always watch the things on mute, anyway.
Jack, some of my fellow countryman have difficulty with English. As for the accent you hear in London, if it was a London accent it would have sounded very strange indeed. I think we have a broader range of accents than you have over there.

The few Geordies i've met were damn near impossible for me or my friend who is English to understand

ime, I am a Geordie (why aye man)but have lost a lot of my accent from living around UK and mainland Europe. Even I have to listen carefully to some Geordies, especially those from the West End of Newcastle.
Jocks are far harder to understand.
