No, they aren't stupid. What you're missing is that the type of shit they pulled on you works, and yes, often on the basis of one or a couple visits. And it doesn't have to work on everybody, just on a few, because if it works on a guy once, it will work again, until he smartens up.

Unless you left out the sex part of your story, you spent that $120 on essentially nothing but a reasonably interesting time with a hot chick. By the percentages, she likely figured you were good for more cash for nothing, and it didn't cost her more than a couple of text messages to give it a try.

GMD and cflock, I suspect that you are right on the money with that. Though I certainly don't feel like I spent the money on "nothing." Having said this, I agree in principal that tipping for barside entertainment is probably causing a lot of my problems. GMD, that's a different ball o' wax. In clubs where this stuff is available, I'm much less likely to tip for barside entertainment. But in most NY/CT clubs, $120 will get you maybe 5 LDs (which I don't enjoy anyway) and perhaps a thank you kiss on the cheek. No girl's panties are getting soaked over $120 in that part of the country.

In my new favorite haunt, it is $30 per LD and FS/BJ are not usually on the menu, so i have zero interest in going back in one of these clubs. Hence I started my same gig, but have been receiving an education in the cultural differences. On can get a half hour with a good looking BP escort for that kind of money.
