Questions About Canadian Clubs (not the whiskey)

I'm going to be in the Toronto-area on business soon, specifically in Scarborough. My former co-workers had often mentioned how much better the clubs are in Toronto than at home in the DC area. Is it acceptable to tip US dollars at a Canadian club? Since there is no Canadian one or two dollar bill, an evening of tipping the ladies could get quite pricey with a five dollar bill every time. Also are there any decent clubs near Scarborough or should I take a taxi into the downtown area? Thanks, Ollie.

I get the impression you're supposed to throw coins at them. It sounds painful. Maybe one of our Canadian neighbors can clarify.

My understanding is that the best clubs are near the airport.

Yes farmerart bailed. He could take any more of our two leading trolls.

Bluemonday from London has talked about doing an article on the Toronto area clubs.

yes you can usually tip US dollars, in niagara you can go on stage, stick a couple of dollar bills in your mouth or put on crotch and be 'entertained' (not something i do mind)

best club downtown is brassrail, or if you looking to get down and dirty for extras go to the airport clubs, cafe atlantis is by a long way the best... if your gonna spend some money, may as well spend a few dollars on the taxi ride there

From what I saw in Montreal and read about other areas of Canada on another site, stage tipping is not as commonplace there as it is here in the U.S. In fact, when I clubbed in Montreal it was practically non-existent. The whole point of stage performances seemed to be to entice guys to buy private dances.

Now there is good and bad to this. While the lack of stage tipping expectations definitely help reduce the cash burn rate, it also means that if the girls don't sell LDs/VIPs, then they don't eat. Hence, the girls hustle their assess off and you can probably expect a lot of pressure to buy dances.

Anyway, I wish I had more, but there is my two cents fwiw.

Yes you can tip with US $1 and $2. There is actually very little stage tipping there. Strip clubs up there have changed money for me one for one, even when the $1USD was worth a few cents less than the Canadian dollar.

First of all, my understanding is that DC is one of the worst SC scenes in the US. Hell, you can go to B-more and have a MUCH better time than in DC.

As for the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), it should be better than a lot of US locations. Paid encounters are legal in Canada, so it's supposed to be fairly easy to find extras friendly clubs in the GTA. My impression is that the higher mileage locations are in the burbs and airport area, with the downtown clubs being more strict.
