I don't understand these professional athletes who manage to get themselves into trouble that threatens their career & BIG money pay. In their shoes I'd do everything possible to protect my income flow.
In this case he's just a kid 23 years old who got a check for 12.5 million in march. I didn't know this because he was from Bristol CT i assumed it was a nice area he has had gang affiliations since before college. I guess even in the NFL he was still hanging out w/ a lot of low character guys instead of nfl players. He was probably gonna end up in this situation whether he went pro or not. It's a shame he has a lot of talent but this was a big stupud mistake he could have avoided if he used common sense.
In these cases "Talent" usually doesn't equal intelligence & common sense. It is not like this is the first time this kind of thing has happened. BUT other fools keep doing stupid things & blowing their huge income flow. You'd think they would learn from these other examples, but that isn't the situation.
Desire is supposedly a higher end club and has security cameras in the parking lot. Not a banger hangout. The NFL need to give these kids lessons on how to behave. They have more money than the local dope dealer and act like the cops can't touch them. They need to learn that anything they do will be a media circus. Doing shit in front of a camera outside a night club in a stage town is just stupid. People are tired of pampered brats that think because they are Pro Athletes they royalty and can do no wrong. The problem is they have gotten away with almost anything in their "school" careers that makes them think they are infallible.
"The NFL need to give these kids lessons on how to behave"
You're uninformed. The NFL has offered a seminar for rookies to try to teach the skills for handling this major change in their lives. Not all attend. And I guess for some the lessons being offered & taught don't penetrate their brains nor are these lessons taken to heart & used to help avoid problems.
