  Quality of service often goes hand in hand w/ competition. If there are very few clubs in the area; then a club can get away w/ running the club as they want. It also may have to do with local ordinances. Some localities have very strict rules and thus all clubs in the area have no choice but to comply.

  There's a club like that in my area. The customers there just eat food, drink beer and tip the ladies on stage. Surprisingly it's a pretty popular club.

  I've been to plenty of topless places that serve booze and all of the guys sit at the bar facing away from the stage to watch whatever game is on that day. No one tips the stage or even acknowledges the dancers. WTF? And this is at clubs that sell pretty good contact dances. The club must be making its money mainly on the booze, so yeah - I can see how they can stay in business.

  Keep overhead low and sell enough booze and you can keep anything open. In areas with limited options this works especially well.

  Theirs a club that I hang at 5 to 7 days a week in and its manly all about the beer and hanging then dancing....dancers are nice to spend time with as well

  It's all alcohol sales with jacked up prices. Let's assume a dive bar sells beer for $3. You don't buy a 12-pack of beer for $36, do you? That's what the dive bar ultimately sells its 12-pack for, but you know they don't buy it for $36. And you know most clubs sell beer for much more than $3 a can/bottle. And most guys go to strip clubs to drink and oftentimes, the girls are secondary, which is weird to me, but that's often the way it is. That begs the question of who goes to strip clubs to drink when they aren't paying attention to the girls and they can get beer for much cheaper at a regular bar, which seems to be their only purpose for being there. Do all regular bars suck? (I realize some of them do, but they can't all suck, can they?)

  This thread reminds me of the clubs in the Baltimore area. Baltimore City allows nude dancing, alcohol, and topless lap dances. Liberal two way contact is currently the norm at the City club that I prefer, Hustler Club. The City also contains The Block, where there is an extensive menu... Baltimore County clubs serve alcohol and require pasties. For many years, there were no lap dances, just stage and dollar parade tipping. Lap dances were allowed about 9 years ago. Started off as air dances and are now one way contact. The Millstream is the prime example and a favorite of mine. And I even get laps there, even though I greatly prefer the City laps. Why? The Millstream has a more-fun vibe, especially if you are a somewhat-regular. In general, there are more pretty girls at the Millstream, and they are fun to talk to. Stage tipping is usually done in a flirty/sexy manner rather than just "thanks" and move on. And the food is good. And since the place is clean, you don't feel weird eating there. So, I guess it just depends on what kind of fun I am looking for at the time.

  I have to wonder how Boomers in Atlanta stays open. It is the only juice bar out of 40+ clubs in the Atlanta Area. The women there are below average in looks and no extras.

I usually pay min $6 to $7 for a Heineken at any SC I visit during the evening shift. And they probably make even more out of the mixed drinks especially since they are often watered down.

  Ok so I've been reluctant to kick in on this topic even though I have some relevant experience because I've noticed a certain tendency by some of the more tenured members here to lambast any SC activity that falls short of fucking a dancer in the ass on stage during her set for $20 in quarters.  I'm being facetious here guys but you know what I mean.  One of the side effects (I apologize for straying a little off topic here) of the fervent opinion that anything short of FS is unmanly is that I'm sure many members who aren't into the FS scene are not likely to post for fear of incurring the wrath of the rest of the pack.  Obviously there are exceptions but still I think you get my drift. So with the knowledge and expectation that I'll probably irk some of you I'll attempt to shed some light on how the clubs that the OP asked about not only stay in business but actually turn a pretty healthy profit. The obvious answer is, as has been stated by others already, through the sales of alcohol and to a much lesser degree food.  But knowing full well that that answer is unsatisfying because after all in order to make money you need a customer base that is willing to pay your exorbitant drink prices day in and day out.  Enter, stage right naked or semi-naked girls. "WTF?" you say?  "No touchy feely equal no interest/no $$$," you say? Well as a senior executive member of the royal order of PLs, lodge 69, Mendocino CA, I am here to tell you that there exists a category of SC aficionado who dotes on the Girl Friend Experience (GFE).  Now I am not trying to insult your intelligence.  I know that probably without exception you all know about GFE but I believe that most of you underestimate the numbers of us out here who truly enjoy it. Let me develop my hypothesis a bit further here. I believe that there are roughly 3 main clientele that frequent "no touch" clubs: 1) Those seeking the GFE with attractive young women, 2) Rowdy young bucks who think that they are going to score one of the dancers OTC and 3) Voyeurs who just want to sit and watch.  Obviously there are others like bachelor parties and out of towners stopping in but in reality those tend to be exceptions and you can't really build a business around them.  My experience in DC over the past 20 years has been that the rough ratio is 75/5/15 during the day shift and 50/30/20 during the night shifts with the numbers shifting even more on Fri and Sat evenings to something like 35/50/15.  Before you call me on the mat looking for my data tables I'll confess that those ratios are entirely based on my observations and the many conversations I've had with the girls that work in the clubs I frequent.  In short I ain't got me no "real" data just that fucked up anecdotal stuff and shit. Of those mentioned above I am closest to the GFE crowd because frankly and honestly I am one of them, while at home at least.  I am an animal of a different color when I hit clubs out of town and truthfully I enjoy pretty much everything on the menu.  I'm not sure if y'all know what makes us tick but I can tell you that the sensation I get when I'm hanging with my ATF, a 20 year old hottie with perky natural tits and an ass to fucking die for, and we're cuddling and smooching in a dark corner of the club, is as potent as any FS act I've ever experienced and I've had my share of "excellent adventures" in that regard.  I believe that it generally boils down to brain chemistry and I get a heaping helping of dopamine every time I visit her so so what if I'm never going to fuck her.  In a certain sense I don't want to fuck her because frankly it isn't likely that it can live up to the fantasy I've got playing in my head. So any given day you will find a dozen or so middle aged business men with decent disposable income sitting around with doting young women, paying them for the fantasy of "being" with them.  Mixed in to that crowd is a handful of voyeurs eyeballing the girls as they dance and also as they hang with their Men and a handful of young turks getting up close and personal stage side giving them a gynecological exam and thinking that they will get "lucky" with a cleaver line or witty reportage.  That's 20 ~ 30 guys ordering $8 drinks for a couple hours with the occasional "bottle" at $300 ~ $700 a pop.  On weekends double and triple those numbers and wala you have a business that leverages the power of pussy to drive the engine of pushing drinks to the clientele I described above...or I'm completely full of shit.  After all "Everything on this site should be considered a work of fiction."  Y'all can decide.   Some states and cities have restrictive rules so the locals get used to looking and not touching or air dances. When its the only game in town a lot of people will go rather than stay home. Bikini bars with champagne rooms are fine as the action happens out back. The spermmaid, oops Mermaid Florida, back in the day had periods of time where the dancers wore bikinis. Didn't stop them from fucking you in a room for $45.

  These types of clubs sell booze and eye candy. A lack of options also helps as many clubs that are in restrictive areas have few competitors and those other clubs are also subject to the same rules. Guys who are visiting or live in places like Boston or DC, for example, generally have to travel an hour or more (potentially a lot more with traffic) to get to better alternatives, which some guys are just not going to want to do. I travel a lot and I will admit that, every so often, I find myself in a shitty club in a restrictive area. As bad as that type of club is, sometimes it beats the alternative of not visiting a club at all.

  A dancer friend told me there is a sizeable minority of custies who just want to look. Many of these will just get table dancing, but some will pay the extra for a booth dance to do their oogling in private, or because they want to be flashed.

  I can understand low mileage clubs that are either the only game in town or are in restrictive areas where all clubs abide by the same rules; getting clientele. But makes me wonder if although they get a lot of custies whether these custies spend a lot of $$$ particularly in dances? I started SCing regularly in 2000 when I lived in Dallas – but prior to this I SCed a handful of times in the 90s when two-way contact was less of the norm that I was aware of. It was not until I became acquainted with liberal two-way contact/groping; that I became a fan and started spending big – prior to the groping days I would get a few dances but I was not extra “motivated” to get a lot of dances like I do now.
