IMO, my top 5 NFL Cities for SC's in order are: 1)Tampa 2) Miami 3)St Louis 4) Indianapolis 5) Dallas. I considered the overall blend of factors such as quantity/quality of clubs in area, proximity to stadium/likely fan hotels, AND MILEAGE. I omitted other cities from my list, because I either didn't think that their total package was as good, or lack of recent familiarity with area.
Honolulu? I'd put the scene at "no," but I only went to two clubs. Centerfolds is decent, but I didn't partake a dance there. If you're looking for extras, however, my friend, two words: Club Misty. If that's all you want, it's a 10.
"Tolerable" in terms of the Casino Girls of Las Vegas. Except, the Waikiki SWs strut their stuff on the street while the satellite police station is 50 yards away. Target is typically Japanese tourist but THE LOOK will get their attention.
For Honolulu:
West of Aloha Stadium, Pearl City, there's several titty bars and lounges (aka Korean bars, aka buy-me-drinkie bars). 5 to 10 minutes East, or toward Diamond Head, of the stadium is Honolulu/Waikiki, with the Ala Moana area as the concentration for lounges/SCs. The pluses are alcohol and nude dances, and buy a lady's drink for conversations (if that's your fancy). The minus are no lap dances (except two "juice" bars I'm aware of), and the lack of stage show (they only dance when you start tipping a dollar every 20 seconds).
My two cents: Bad simply due to the lack of laps. If you add other adult entertainment venues, I would give Honolulu the thumbs up (24/7 AMPs and a tolerable street scene).
Bumped Thread: Just realized w. Pro Bowl being played in Honolulu, left that out. Haven't been there in a while, would rate a solid "maybe". Anyone have recent visit insights on this??
The town of Foxboro was picked because it was halfway between Boston and Providence....I like Providence, though things have gone downhill lately....more pricey, less fun.
OK, FONDL, I will go by 1) and 2). I will assume that you're visiting a city for football and strip clubs, and to me that means you'll need a car. If in doubt, I'll give the benefit of, which means DC is a "good."
Thanks for all the other input. A revised, *revised* list:
Good:
Dallas
Tampa
St. Louis
San Francisco
Seattle
Miami
Baltimore
Indianapolis
Houston
Nashville
Washington
Detroit
Phoenix
New England
Philadelphia
Bad:
Green Bay
Charlotte
Cincinnati
Pittsburgh

Oakland
Buffalo
Chicago
San Diego
Maybe:
Minneapolis
New Orleans
Atlanta
Denver
Cleveland
New York
Wait, you guys are talking about actually attending football games? I thought the whole idea was to use that as a pretext for hitting the strip clubs. Hell if I know where the stadium is in half these cities.
AN is correct. You will get 3 entirely different lists depending on whether you're judging based on (1) the metro area that the team is named for; (2) clubs within a half hour or so drive of the stadium; or (3) clubs within walking distance of the stadium. I contradicted myself because we were talking in terms of two different sets of criteria. If you use (2) the Redskins make the good list, if you use (1) they're a maybe, and if you use (3) they're terrible. Take you're pick.
Check the earlier posts. The stadium isn't in Washington, it's closer to Baltimore. DC doesn't have great clubs, Baltimore does. I think we should narrow the criteria to clubs within walking distance of the stadium and lodging. It makes sense for the perfect guy weekend. Drinking, strippers, and football, all without having to have a designated driver.
FONDL, check your last two posts. In your earlier one you said DC should be moved from the bad to the good list; in your later one you said it should go to the bad list. Which one do you think it should be in?
Considering Foxboro is closer to Providence than Boston, I would think New England is at least a maybe. Of course, it looks like you're driving either way.
I'd have a hard time choosing among San Francisco, Tampa, Detroit and St. Louis for top ranking. The first two I haven't been to for too long. The latter two is a choice between beautiful girls with great lapdances (Detroit), and poor-to-middling girls with great stage action, expensive laps and extras (St. Louis). Indianapolis I'd put a notch behind.
SYG(2): Pretty good list, but I disagree with you on the following cities : 1)ATLANTA : Mileage may not be its strong point, but with 37 clubs, AND the ability to combine nudity & alcohol puts Atlanta in an entirely different galaxy than Cincy( 2 NewportKY dives acr. the river, 1 DejaVu 15-20 miles away) Should rate at least a maybe. 2) BUFFALO: With only 5 clubs & total of 14 reviews, I don't see how you could rate Buffalo "good". Unless you're basing it on "good clubs across the border" in NF. By that logic, you should rate Oakland(Zero strip clubs) "good" on the basis of "good clubs across the bay" in SF. 3)CHICAGO- with maybe 10 clubs in entire metro area, and none in T40, rates a very weak maybe at best. 4) DENVER- Although not a strong mileage city, with 20-23 clubs, with 1 being T40 at 1 time (Cheerleaders), ranks at least a mild "maybe". 5) DETROIT: C'mon, with 30 plus clubs in Metro area, 2 in T40, plus 1 prior T40, and clubs "across the border" in Windsor warrants at least "borderline good". 6) PHOENIX: 41 clubs in metro area, 1 current(HiLiter) and 1 prior (Christies) T40, a good mixture of nude, and topless clubs warrants at least a "strong maybe". 7) SAN DIEGO- Has fair number of clubs, but their airshows are only rivalled by the ones at Miramar. A very weak maybe, at best. My Super Bowl "WAG": Steelers35, Seahawks31.
That works OK if you just go by the city that the team claims to be from. But if you look at where the stadiums are actually located I think you need to make some adjustments. For example, the Redskins play in Maryland closer to Baltimore than the NJ Giants and Jets do to NYC. So I'd put the Giants and Jets both in the bad category and the Redskins in the good. I'd also list Buffalo as bad, unless you're counting the Niagara Falls Canadian clubs as being close to the Buffalo area. Not sure where their stadium is but I think it's a pretty good hike.
This may be an irrelevant list to make, but here are, I think, how the scenes in each of the 31 NFL cities break down. I wanted to put in a "Don't Know" list, but I decided to risk mistakes and narrow myself to "Good," "Bad," or "Maybe." I've been to a few places, the rest I'm going on general gut feeling according to the reviews I read here. Generally out-of-the-way spots I don't include in a city's scene.

Mikey, I don't think there are any decent clubs in downtown Pittsburgh, but there are some good ones not far away. Not sure if any are open on Sundays though.
Not sure if anyone noticed, but Minneapolis, home of the Vikings, has 2 of the top 40. Then again, one of them looks like a rich snob type of place, although as we Viking fans all know, the Vikings themselves would rather get their own boat and turn it into a strip club.
Haven't been to New Orleans in three years, and I did some reviews the year before, so four years ago. I did some reviews back in the day. Temptations was my favorite club.
Sundays: Well, if someone can name a club in downtown Pittsburgh that is open on Sunday, I'd truly appreciate it.
All I ever heard about New Orleans clubs was how bad they were. I never tried any myself. Maybe it was different away from the tourist areas. Is anything open outside the French Quarter?
MB: Just about all cities have SC's open on Su., although, ISC, they don't open til' 4-6PM. Don't see any "Nawlins" reviews in your profile, curious how your trip pans out. ///T-water: Monz does indeed have attractive dancers , inc. many that aren't pictured in calendar.
T, I think this Super Bowl week will be different for at least 2 reasons: one, Detroit is pretty close to Pittsburgh and I think they'll draw a lot of young guys who just want to party whether they have tickets or not; and two, Pittsburgh is a very blue-collar town in the best sense of the word, these guys know how to party. I think the Detroit area strip clubs will be mobbed all week long. I'd love to be there. But I still haven't been able to find a Terrible Towel.
I've heard that the Mons Venus in Tampa is great! A friend gave me a calendar from the club and showed me which dancers he had dances with from the calendar photos.
When the Super Bowl was in San Diego, our club didn't get much busier. The Pure Platinium Dirty Dan's dancers near the airport "banked" all week.
And if, like me, you don't care for the Block, there are a number of decent neighborhood titty bars that are even closer to the stadium and downtown hotels than the Block is.
gotta get the Big Easy in there....Now that the NFl has committed to New Orleans for the 2006 season...we'll have to see post-Katrina how it is there....I'm planning a trip!
If you are talking about incorporating a trip to strip joints as part of a NFL weekend, being open on Sunday and being within walking distance of downtown hotels and a downtown stadium is helpful as well.
The Block in Baltimore rates high as well as New Orleans in that area. The ideal football/strip joint package is not to have to worry about driving or even cabbing it.
As FunSeeker says Rick's is a great club! Fox's didn't impress me much, OTOH. (Inside sources says the classier girls were diverted to Rick's away from Honeys and Fox's at hiring time.)
Unfortunately now that Rick's has cleared their legal problems they are going back to hiring less classy but naughtier girls. (The classy ones were hired at least partially as pawns for management's PR concerns, and will probably get scared away by the new atmosphere.)
We will have to see what happens now. From about Feb /05 till now, when they had to up the class level, was great though. But what will the future hold? Guess we will have to see...
minnow,
They may not serve alcohol, and Fox's is far away from downtown. These two clubs are top notch clubs. See for yourself. I was at Fox's earlier last year. Raeally had great experience.
Minnow, I don't think there are any SC's within walking distance of the Philly sports complex but there are many within a short cab ride. And if you extend the radius to an hour's drive you have a huge choice of nearly 100 clubs of every conceivable description including the top rated club in the US (which I don't care for.)
FONDL: Houston & Detroit are good SC cities, but I've been to neither in over 7yrs, nor am I familiar w. their stadiums. In the 90's, I stayed near old Vet Stadium(Philly), and Inner Harbor area very close to where Orioles played. I did a fair amt. of walking in both places, didn't see any SC's..I'll PM you next time I go to either area. Chand.. Several SF clubs quick cab ride fr. Candlestick, and some high mileage to be had, BUT SF SC$$$=SF Real Estate$$$, and yes Deja Vu invasion was a factor in my omission fr. personal Top5. FS: I fail to grasp how a paucity of clubs coupled w. no alc. makes your Seattle choice tops. Its a VERY Long walk from Stadium & DT hotels to Ricks, and a VERY Expensive Cab Ride to Tacoma, and Foxes. Otherwise, its 1 or 2 Deja Vu clubs near DT area. The 2 clubs near Seatac are presently, or have been on B40 list. Seattle is a good city, its overall SC considerations just doesn't measure up to my other choices.
SD: I wasn't sure whether to expect better mileage or tighter enforcement. Even given your report, I think I'll keep my distance during Super Bowl week itself.
Conspicuously absent from this thread: San Francisco, although I understand the Deja Vu invasion and the Newsom administration have not helped matters.
I've got to agree with you on Tampa. With Mons Venus and 2001 right near the stadium is probably the most convenient with some great mileage. Not to mention the motor home in the parking lot before the games until the police shut it down.
I have little first-hand knowledge of TX clubs but I was under the impression that Houston is a lot better than Dallas. Detroit and Philly are both pretty good too. And like Tampa, a lot of the Philly clubs aren't very far from the stadium.

Would you please expand on "a tolerable street scene."

My experiences were equally great at both Rick's and Foxe's. I felt Fox's was better deal for great lap dances!
Hit or miss - I also had great times at Sugar's and Sand's.
