Do you tell the stripper that you write reviews online?

Friday, June 1, 2012 11:45 AM
Previous to last night at multiple clubs I would talk openly with strippers about TUSCL and writing reviews. The dancers typically would laugh about it and be curious if anyone had written a review about them. I would pull out my smart phone and attempt to see if anyone had reviewed them. Last night I had a totally differant experience at a SC. I started out by getting random dances that were nothing special. Then this busty tall dirty blond approached me and gave me the old "I have danced for you before." She was telling me how she never forgets a face and even told me it was about 3 months ago. I dod not remember her but decided to play along. While I was joking with her, I told her that I probably wrote a review about her. She looked at me like I was some kind of freak. Now I realize thae some of the people that are on this web site have a few screws loose. It comes with the terrotary. Anyway, it turns out that a dancer that works at that club had to move to az(where we were) from tx because of a stalker who was writing reviews about her. She was telling me this durring the dance. I told her I was not like that and if a dancer gives a good dance, she can bring herself business based on the reviews. She was not having that. I cut my losses and only got 1 dance from her. The next dancer approached me and was giving the best dance of the night to me. All the sudden durring the second dance the previous stripper approached us with her 2 little stripper friends with her and started telling her that I was going to wright reviews about her. She blew them off. She told me that she would hope that I write a review on her to get her more clients. I was so taken back by what had happened, I had her finish the dance and left. I realize strippers take off there close for money and to do that most them are damaged goods. Some of them have serious psycological problems. I probably could of got management involved and complained about the unprofessionalism but why? It is not like I frequent this club anyway. I am curious. Who has had an experience like this? Your thoughts . . .

I haven't had an experience like yours because I'm NOT stupid enough to tell Dancers about writing reviews of them at TUSCL online!

I only talk about it with a few select dancers. Most are curious about it but some may not like the attention it may bring. As always YMMV

I could write a whole fucking article on this subject. But basically I only tell strippers that I know well about TUSCL. I never mention dancer names in reviews unless they piss me off. I have personally met 7 dancers that have posted on TUSCL. Right now there are probably 12 dancers at two different clubs that know that I am shadowcat and one manager that reads all of my reviews. It is certainly not for every one but what I have written & shared has never bitten me in the ass.

Fuck no. IMO, nothing that could come of telling them would be good enough to offset the potential shitstorm it could bring.

I don't and I usually try to write my reviews so that anyone reading them can't tell who I am, even a stripper who I got a private room with. There is only one review of mine where if the stripper who I wrote about reads it she'll know who I am.

If a dancer were to ask how I learned about the club I would mention that I read about it on [view link]. If they asked if I wrote I would say occasionally but I am very discrete about names and details. I am just not very good at lying so I make a habit of not doing it. Unfortunately there are people, not so much on this site, that really enjoy being nasty about a review.

I just see no point in stirring up any stripper. I share experiences, insights and get plenty of information here. I don't tell dancers about TUSCL.

My thoughts and experiences are a combination of many of the above. I do tell dancers that I read about strip clubs on line. Most aren't even curious enough to ask which website. If they are, I tell them one that's better known here in Seattle than TUSCL. That usually satisfies their curiosity. I keep most of my private life private from dancers, and I keep all of my "TUSCL life" private from the local dancers I see in the clubs here. The few TUSCL dancers I correspond with, know a little bit more about my club-going habits and interests than the local dancers do.

From a dancers point if view, I have no problem seeing why a dancer might be upset about people posting reviews. It has nothing to do with psychological soundness, it has to do with the fact that you learn very early in the job that customers aren't truthful. The chances that a review is truthful, in our opinion, is small. Women hate crap being written about them unless its very flattering. Reviews aren't always flattering or truthful so usually they aren't welcome. I've had two reviews written about me where I was mentioned by name and even though they were flattering, I don't need reviews to help my business.

I have mentioned it before to dancers. Most of the time I don't bother. And i have never had a reaction like that before. Actually on this site most people don't mention strippers by name as much as just the club. I'm a member of another well known site that tends to give out for particular info on different girls and what can be expected. I know that escorts love getting reviews:)!!!

What drac first said. If you're audacious enough to start spouting off about it, then you're bound to get some good & bad flak with it. Similar to how businesses treat critics, inspectors, & customer reviews. Some people take it well, others badly. Just comes with the territory if you talk about it.

If you work in the entertainment business and don't like being reviewed...well that's just too fucking bad.

Telling a dancer that you may write about her online in a review is only going to cause undue alarm and concern. Most people don't want their name mentioned online thinking something they don't want the world to know will be posted about them whether it is true or not. I made the mistake of mentioning it before but never did again after that. I don't see what possible benefit I could gain by telling a dancer I just met that I'm going to post online everything about her or the dance she does. I don't see much to gain by telling dancers I know much better.

If a dancer ticks me off, I will try to remember her name and post all relevant information online. That is when I go into details. I still don't tell the dancer though. I like to remain unknown.

I never volunteer information about my postings on this or other strip club review sites to dancers. Web sites such as TUSCL serve a customer to customer communication function. This discussion does make me wonder if a positive dancer review actually translates into an uptick in business for that dancer?

I never do. I stay as anonymous as possible because I do like to write the truth, good or bad about a dancer. Thats why I like this site, I have found their reviews to be accurate.

I told a new dancer (who became a fav) I was so impressed w/her I wanted to write about her. She asked if I was a writer. I told her that in this case I was a writer of reviews. She supported me 100%, said I could name her, and gave me her email (w/her real name in it) so I could send copies. I don't know if it helped her business, but wrote the glowing reviews that she earned. She eventually graduated from nursing school (for real) and moved. MISS HER! Oh, during the winter I commented to the bartender how we TUSLC ers often say the prettiest women are behind the bar. She liked that also told me I could write about her and use her name. I have some other examples. I would only do this after being very sure we have great rapport.

I have only told a few, but never share my screen name. There is really little upside in it in my humble opinion. This is where I come to share my unadulterated views about clubs and certain related activities. I don't want any dancer piecing even a fraction of all of my shit together.

I as well have only told a few dancers. I honestly do not think they give a rats ass. In 16 years I have only meet half a handful who were professional and had a work ethic. You rate a club it is more on the club, if a tuscl user reads a review and decides to visit club a over club b because of a review the owner hurts out more than the dancer. The thing that irritates me is a manager who lets dancers sit at the bar on their phones rather than work the floor. But I never share my screen name if I do tell them I rate clubs.

He probably did a search for the subject and this thread came up. Sometimes I don't mind resurrecting old threads because they might have info you never knew. Plus sometimes I learn a little TUSCL history from them.

it has taken me six years to learn just to act stupid about any stripping website. my experience is positive only 33%. so better to act stupid.

Plus it's interesting to see the names of folks who used to post back in the day. And you find out about folks who have been on here for a very long time. For example in this six year old thread I'm seeing Rick Dugan, GoVikings, and shadowcat who are still around. And then names I hear a lot about from past days but aren't around anymore like Alucard (RIP) and Motorhead.

Wow, 5 years. Some guys have been members here a long time. I went to 3 different strip clubs in 2 nights. I barely even spoke to many. Wednesday andThursday I assume are slow nights. Charlotte has a lot more clubs but many are small compared to what I got used to.

The op seemed to be using the thought of writing positive reviews to try and get more from the dancers. I don’t think that strategy is prudent. I think there is minimal good to come from mentioning that you post on this site. It’s best left unsaid. It’s an old thread, but it has pertinence as similar threads have been created recently.
