I saw a billboard for this club on a trip to Fayetteville last month, so this review caught my eye. Glad I didn't stop in – apparently when you get a lapdance you have to put your hands into some kind of restraints. Yikes! (The movie “Hostel†comes to mind for some reason.)
Anyone actually been here? Or ever run into anything similar?

Wow crazy to hear about them using restraints. I remember one dancer had a death grip on my wrists the entire dance. sam, I'm going to go off topic for a minute. I just bought a samsung(yeah samsung) 46"LED flat panel HDTV. Bottom line was $1800+. Then I had to upgrade my sat. service to HD. Another $10/mo. TV comes next Thu. New HD antenna, etc comes Fri. My question to you is: do you like netflix? I have been looking at it but I am starting to get disinterested. 1st, I would have to buy an XBOX360 or some thing to watch it on my TV. More expense. 2nd, their examples of what they have available for viewing seems to be a lot of old movies and TV episodes. They have little interest for me. I already have all of the premium movie channels. I may sign up for their 2 week free preview. What do you think?
I've seen those billboards for years and have never been tempted to stop. Less of a temptation after reading reviews here. The places with heavy highway ads like that usually turn out to be lame.
I used to visit Cafe Erotica in Byron, Ga alot when it was open. It is basically the same set up as Cafe Risque. Out of the 10years that I frequented the club I was only asked twice ,to my knowledge to put my hands in the restraints.
All it is are two very short ropes built in to the wall to place your hands through. Even the few times I was asked it is not like they tied my hands in it. Normally most of the girls just ask you to put your hands behind your head.
I've been there. It sucked. Stayed maybe five minutes after I took a quick look around and decided no way was I eating there...Did hear that the lap dances were all jacked up, though. With Fayetteville nearby why bother?
shadowcat: You don't need to get an X-Box, you can stream NetFlix through your computer. Of course, to get the best picture, your computer might need a new video card and be moved near the the TV. A friend of mine is considering getting rid of has satellite system. He says gets everything he wants either over the air or from NetFlix, and NetFlix is a lot cheaper than satellite.

shadowcat, I think netflix is better than using the local video store but not as good as downloading pirated movies online. I use a blu ray player to watch netflix but I have heard about the Roku player that is cheaper and has a 30 day money back guarantee.
I think there is a way to hook up your PC and TV so you can use your TV as a monitor to watch porn/movies but I don't know how to do this and might need a better video card.
I agree though that it is mostly older movies and tv shows on netflix instant view. If you already had xbox360, nintendo wii, or a blu ray player (with netflix) then I would do it...but I don't think it is worth buying a device for it yet.
I have tried a 10 day free trial at sugardvd.com the porn version of netflix. They mail dvds but they expect you to pay per minute to watch their porn online.

Restraints...Brr, I'm a onetime recon Marine who has been shot at a time or two, and seen some shit that still haunts my dreams. If some person tried to put restraints on me...just imagine the first First Blood movie.
Restraints of someone else's design? No stinking way. I have bad dreams about that sort of thing without Dudester's experience. And yes, I do understand the apparent hypocrisy in being unwilling to be restrained and my eagerness to restrain others. The difference is that I can be trusted to let someone go when they ask.
I would not get any dances if they said my hands would be in restraints. If I knew they did that there, I doubt I would even visit.

shadowcat: You can get a Roku box for under $100 to stream Netflix movies to your TV. But the selection of movies available for streaming is small compared to the selection available on DVD.

Kind of, but the main thing that the movie is famous for is that it shows everything when it comes to gore parts, and I mean everything.

Skip it...they ruin the entire movie by revealing both sides of the coin...showing you the victims & their potential tormentors before they eventually meet towards the end of the movie. It takes ALL of the suspense out of the movie IMO. There's a twist at the end of the second movie, but it isn't worth it.
The MPAA hypocrisy has always amazed me. Showing somebody being brutalized, tortured or flayed alive is perfectly acceptable, but two people giving each other pleasure is a disgusting abomination.
I have to wonder sometimes how much of that is perpetuated by the porn industry itself, though. Where would porn in America be today if it wasn't labeled as evil?

I can't remember where or when but it was a long time ago when lap dances were totally new to me. After agreeing to the LD and going to the room, I was told that I had to sit on my hands.I did what I was told. Knowing what I know now, I would have walked out.
