I went to Whispers Cabaret, the new club in Columbus, and was required to pay in advance for a couch dance. I have paid in advance for champagne room but never the couch dances at a strip club. I was wondering if you know of other clubs like this and how it goes for you? This couch dance was low mileage. Also the bouncer was standing about 15 feet away from us at his desk and occasionally looked away to give us privacy but for the most part he was keeping an eye on us.
The only positive aspect about this is that the dancer can not cheat you on songs or try to start in the middle of a song and charge you for it. It keeps the accounting fair, but the mileage is too low! I have not been ripped off before from a dancer starting mid song, but it is something I have read on tuscl and I prepare for.
Most of the ones who want you to pay in advance are also ones who are low mileage lap dancers. I've been to one club where it was required to pay upfront, but that place was more than decent mileage, and it may have been a way to prevent dancers from ripping off customers.
If I don't know the dancer, I usually count the dances as we go. I'll just say something like, "That was nice, let's go for two, three or whatever number it is." As for the mid song dance, "That 1/2 a dance was nice, let's go for a full price dance now." Since I started that, I've not been "mistakenly" counted.
I too had paied for dances in advance. At Whispers Cabaret for the couch dance, and at The Doctors Lounge, for the VIP dances. I haven't had any problems with the dances I paid up front for.
My general experience has been that several clubs require upfront payment for VIP's, or in a few cases a multiple "dance pack" in VIP room ( one Anaheim club paid bouncer upfront 5 for 50). Dancers that ask for payment upfront for regular dances generally don't give very good dances, nor do they get business from me.
Isn't it always that way for Champagne rooms? I've had some dancers who asked for payment up front for dances when the norm is payment afterward. Kind of insulting, actually. LOL!
It depends on the club. No one should pay for lapdances up front, that should be pay as you go. But many places will collect in advance for a VIP room because they've had too many guys stiff the house and the dancers. Just know what the deal is before you get sucked in because anything paid in advance is risky.
I remember going to a "sure thing" private dance room once with a fixed price/pay in advance arangement, but it turns out the dancer wasn't in the mood (even though she was known for being in the right mood previously). Didn't find out until after my money was sucked up. In her case, the wrong mood was hungover and sober. She prefers buzzed and partying apparently.
I have no plans of paying upfront for dances, I haven't been required to do so. BUT, I have given my favorite 3 or 4 dances worth upfront and collected as the night wore on. Even if we don't get all dances in that night, we just collect the next time i come in. She has never cheated me yet.
The second girl in the stable is reliable to give a little extra cash to get drinks and or food. She brings the money back no problem, but she has tried to tell me we did 4 dances even when I know it was three. I stood firm, she caved. If she didn't, I would have walked away and forgot her.
well I just found out about another club that requires payment in advance: Private Dancer in Columbus, OH .
Is this the economy or are these clubs just ghetto?
Paying in advance seems to be the norm here in Louisville, even for the simple lappers. That might be because typically here, the house gets a percentage of every dance. I'm sure they aren't gonna let some deadbeat stiff them.

If you want more dances you pay on the way out.
Not sure but this may be to screen out the deadbeats who "discover" at the end of their first song "oh, it's 20 per dance?".
Some of the Albany, NY strip clubs are known for this, and it's basically a ripoff IMO.
