I hit this place last week on my way out of Bridgeport following a visit to Pleasant Moments (which, by the way, revealed no evidence of a so-called "crackdown" as claimed in a recent review--was there twice in three days and everything is firing on all cylinders). Anyway, as described here, Scruples was a nice, low-key club, totally different from PM. Having just received the PM treatment, I stopped more out of curiosity than anything else, and had zero expectations. However, I ended up having a series of increasingly sensuous, but still within the lines, lap dances from Selena. Damned if I didn't feel on the verge of a LDK a couple times, which would have been a minor physiological miracle for this old coot, considering that I had just come from PM.

Maya is the best. She would be a headliner anywhere. Last I knew, she worked weekday afternoons
And I must say that I, too, am horrified that somebody would propose an OTC liaison with this national treasure. I would be crestfallen if she went for it with somebody other than me

Paula Abdul in the “Straight Up” video. Every aspect of her being is in the B-minus range, but the whole somehow ends up exceeding the sum of its parts

Update: Visited this place Tuesday April 9. It’s as wide open as ever. I verified business as usual with a hot Panamanian spinner who has been in the country for three years. Was in and out of the place in 30 minutes, including some time waiting for the room

@motorhead: somebody used the word "liminal" in a review the other day. I had to look up the definition. It was uplifting

Wondering why OP would want her phone number

As I understand it, OP feels like a dancer who he sees on the regular may have been giving him the bum's rush by asking how long he was planning to be staying at the club, and he is wondering if he should be offended. Insufficient information to say, but if he was literally sitting with her for two hours (and not two hours in VIP), it's perfectly reasonable for the dancer to gently inquire about his plans. It's important to be respectful of the dancer's time and not prevent her from getting paying business.

Is suggesting OP visit and review Wonderland some kind of low key hazing? I went there once and didn't even stay long enough to finish my drink. And I hate wasting alcohol.

How recent are these developments? I was there Feb 22 and it was the standard $60 experience.
Syph and AIDs are a risk of getting extras in every club.
I’m not ready to jump ship yet without further verification (heading that way next week) but Harry O’s in Stamford offers a similar extras experience to PM in an even grungier setting, if that’s possible. There can be three other couples grinding it out in the same little room with you

I’ve had great experiences with dancers who hit me up before zi sat down and mediocre experiences with dancers who didn’t approach for a half hour and with whom I had to go through the ritualized small talk, sharing drinks, etc. no rhyme or reason. The key in either case is to nail down expectations in advance. Have almost never been disappointed in those cases

What's "DO" mean? Whatever it is, I think I want it.

The reason they move around is that they scoop up the low-lying fruit first, typically with pics that are fake or very out of date. Within a couple weeks, they've exhausted the supply of dupes who patrol the escort sites and know they're not getting any repeat business in the locality so it's time to move on

What's the downside with the Cubans? I've enjoyed my few encounters

Learning not to overshare is essential to success in any service industry. I'd rather spend time with a less hot dancer who knows to keep things light

Keep it in my pants when I do OTC. If I were a stripper it would stand for I like big bucks and I can not lie.
Not sure if this is "weird", but I had a dancer I would see regularly, and we'd typically get right down to business in VIP before the bouncer/attendant brought our drinks in. He'd call out her name and we'd pause, her on my lap and me inside her, while he set down the drinks and we said our polite thank you's as he withdrew. This wasn't some shithole club, and he had to know what we were doing. In fact, it became a bit of a game where my goal was to get her off before the drinks came.

It’s not “simping” to refrain from making derogatory comments about the appearance of a dancer who posts her pic on this site. It’s just basic courtesy. Nobody is compelled to say anything. Only a psycho would walk into a SC and start making negative comments to a dancer’s face about her appearance. Only difference here is that we’re hiding behind the anonymity of the internet.
Besides, don’t we all want more dancer pics? Fewer may do it if they realize that they could encounter a gauntlet of idiosyncratic criticism by men they wouldn’t cast a second glance at in real life.
Obviously, discussions of personal tastes and preferences is cool but there’s no need to tie to a named dancer’s freshly posted pic

Skibum: "Pretty funny watching a bunch of grown men whine about democracy in action."
Cool thing about democracy (representative democracy, in this case) is that you are allowed to complain when you disagree with what you're "representatives" are doing

I try to avoid reviews on heavily reviewed clubs unless I think I have a fresh take. More thinly reviewed clubs are actually easier to review because you are either providing new information or at least providing current confirmation of the limited information available
I have also sometimes had good experiences at clubs that don’t get a lot of reviews, Louisville and Memphis for example. My assumption is that there are just fewer TUSCL members in those locales

I'm with Dolfan in that I have little interest in 18-20 year old dancers, and also agree that depriving them of the opportunity to work at a SC seems more likely to do harm than good.

^^ "Not wanting your company that presumably has nothing to do with adult products/activities/services to be associated with someone who is or has been involved with those things (and can fairly easily be found out about) isn't such a crazy concept."
How can a patron of an office or a store "easily" find out that an employee of the establishment formerly danced at a SC? The only obvious way I can see is if a patron recognized her. He's almost certainly not going to care, much less complain to management about her, and even less likely to tell wifey about her.

Had a regular who would occasionally walk out of the VIP area naked to fetch napkins when I would neglect to stock up beforehand.
Also not uncommon for dancers to keep the top off while they did their post-set tip walk
